You must be getting so excited. Congrats on your first trip. You will have a BLAST. I am not sure if you will receive anything else in the mail. We book our vaca through dvc and use the magical express so that is all we will get. Have an AWESOME time.

We are leaving for FL on December 4th and then headed to POR on the 7th. I can't believe it is already almost here!! With Thanksgiving the week before time is just going to fly by!

Does anyone have tips on what to take for the weather. I'm assuming short and tees for the day and lightweight jackets for the evening....

I've been waiting for this trip for so long that I can't believe my paid in full date is in 2 days. We thankfully have it paid off finally and thankfully wew are able to go, it got hairy for awhile there. We have 46 days till we leave and 47 days till we arrive in FL. I am so excited I can't even stand it anymore. I feel like a big kid its all I can talk about.

We have learned from previous December trips to be prepared for hot and cold weather. You really need to dress in layers. We have worn shorts on some days and winter coats and mittens on other days.

Guess I need to start sorting out some of the kids summery things and getting some things together. Also kind of need to make more of a touring plan.

I've had which days we're going to be in which parks done since I made our ADR's, but I think mostly for MK and AK we should have a general idea as to the order we should try and do things so we're not backtracking a lot???

If anyone's good with planning that kind of thing, I'd LOVE your help!

Packing for us wasn't hard, this trip is just DH and I, so that helped a great deal. Also we live in Chicago, so we aren't using any of our warm weather clothes right now, and we both had enough weekend/play cold weather clothes that we could pack some of those as well. I tried to prepare us for every possible weather condition that could come along, so I have us covered from sunblock to rain ponchos to gloves. I travel often for my job so I even have an "emergency kit" that I take everywhere I go. It has all kinds of over the counter medicine, aspirin, sleep aids, Dramamine, first aid items, sewing kit, stain stick, wet ones, Icee hot patches, cold compress and blister band aids. I've learned from too many business trips that if you don't have access to a car then you have to pay the outrageous prices in hotel gift shops for emergency items. Better safe than sorry. ;)

We have a LGMH on our backpack so if you see us in the parks, make sure to say Hi, :wave2:. DH says that fellow Disers are like the Toothfairy, everybody knows about them, but he hasn't actually seen one yet! :rotfl:

We are at 16 days!!! I started this countdown at 11 months so this is super close ... and it's getting scary now; I feel like I have a thousand things to take care of before we can go.
