Lynn I loved your hair :lovestruc ! Did you have any trouble with wind or anything at SBP? I would like to wear mine similar to yours...

Lynn you looked gorgeous! I love your hair. Thanks for the pics.

Is hair and makeup done before you put the dress on? I'm ignorant about such things.

Yes! Then you just step into the dress. Now if your dress isn't the kind you can step into and you have to pull it over your head, you could get one of these...

We all laughed the year Grandma gave every woman in the family one for Christmas, but you wouldn't believe how handy they are! :rotfl:

What a great idea!

Luckily I can step into my dress, so I guess I'll just have to wear something I can get out of easily when I'm getting ready.

I would kind of like to have an updo, but I have ears that stick out and it really bothers me, so I thought hiding them with my hair down would be better. My consultant at David's suggested I have surgery to pin them back. I thought that was mean and uncalled for.

I just booked Patricia and I can't wait. She made you look so gorgeous Carrie (not that it was hard :)).

What...I can't stand Davids bridal... they are so ignorant there.

Wear it half up and half down...they can do it to where some of the hair covers your ears or just do it all down. It will be beautiful.

I stepped into my dress too! Thank God!

Thanks for all the support.

I picked up my dress yesterday from David's. Apparently it had been sitting there for weeks (I received an e-mail a few weeks ago that it was in, but was told it wasn't when I asked my consultant).

Yay, I'm done with David's! I love my dress and I got a great deal, but that store needs some work. I'm going elsewhere for alterations.

Me too! I always wear mine pulled back so I figure it would be nice for it to let down for once:) My future neice is doing my hair and we are doing extensions since my hair is just past my shoulders and I want more length.

Here is one of mine. I used a tiara as a headband and left my curl in its natural form. So, it was mostly down and I did it myself. Posting just to show a different down style.

I've been with my fiance for 9 years and we have a 7 year-old daughter together.
Now and then, he says that he's ready to get married, but I've gotten my hopes up before and decided to wait until he says it's ok for me to book a venue.

Well, we had already planned a DisneyWorld Vacation for this Thanksgiving week. So I'm talking to FTW about if they have availability for a ceremony (no reception needed) at the Pavilion during our stay.

I love the half-up look, and have had my hair styled that way before. Lynn - where did you book your stylist?

I'm going to scour these boards. I'm wondering - when you start booking a FTW, do they help you find someone to do your hair?

WithDisneySpirit,

You have such naturally pretty hair, it must have been easy to do that style yourself. I am jealous that you had Mickey and Minnie at your VR!

Thank you Jenna!

The bouquet was a combination of cream roses, pink anna roses, freesia, and stephanoitis (with crystals). Disney made it.

Belle's Mommy,

I am not sure what availability there will be for Thanksgiving week. I imagine that the holidays are a popular time for Disney weddings.

It sounds like you are planning an Escape wedding?

When I booked my wedding, I was provided with a list of stylists. I have Patricia LeJeune booked. If you have any questions I might be able to answer, please feel free to PM me.

Oh, I love all of those flowers! I wonder if they'd do that bouquet for an Escape wedding. Maybe I could get something close. Thank you!

This was the only one I could find where you can see my hair pretty well. I just had some of it pulled away from my face and the rest in curls. It was exactly what I wanted. My hair is naturally curly and was at that time just about to the middle of my back.

My hair is super thick and is right above my shoulders so I plan on keeping it down and going with an easy look, similar to these:

http://lh6.ggpht.com/howell.rachel/SI97svXI3WI/AAAAAAAABAg/Gxespn_c5qk/006_primary.jpg

http://lh3.ggpht.com/howell.rachel/SI97vSi-4FI/AAAAAAAABAw/lLQOg9qxUgE/cageveil.jpg

http://lh6.ggpht.com/howell.rachel/SI976pRoaAI/AAAAAAAABCI/dQdNrDq5YRo/s400/Tom_Carson_2004_D4_294.jpg

I think that'll keep with the soft, romantic look I'm going for plus I'm planning on using a birdcage veil. I can't wait till it all comes together.

Anybody have any advice for someone with naturally straight & long hair who wants it curly for her wedding? I've tried to have it curled for other weddings, but the curl never lasts...

Your hair looks gorgeous...that's the kind of curl I would like.

I have the same problem as you...long straight hair to my waist. I have managed to curl my hair once for a night out...but it meant me starting it in the morning! I used curling tongs and sectioned my hair and after each curl, I pinned it to my head instead of letting it fall loose. I eventually finished curling it and I left it pinned up for hours but when I took all the pins out, it looked fantastic. Just gave it a light spray and it stayed in all night. Hope that helps.

Okay, I have super duper uber straight hair (I'm Asian!) but it is super duper uber thick too. My curls slowly deteriorated as the night went on but I think they ended up fine. I had mine half up & half down too.

This is the best I could do for pictures...

Towards the end of the reception (after dancing the night away and taking pictures outside the GF - IN AUGUST!... yeah.. not bad!)

Have your stylist use a ton of product on your hair...sprays nothing heavy though. Have them use a small iron. The curls will be tight at first. When she is done curling it have her rub some type of peicing paste in her hands and loosen up the curls by pulling them out.

I use Catwalk sexed up hairspray and Shaper and to make the curls hold and keep them shiny and frizzy I use Kiwi piecing paste.

I wish I could do all the brides hair in Disney lol. I do some beautiful updos and gorgeous curls.

Actually, I did my own hair & makeup. For me it was one of those things that I preferred to do myself to save $$$. It was really easy to do actually.

But if you really like it, you can show the pic to your hairdresser and I'm sure they can do this, 100x better!!;)

Where did your DH get his suit? Did he buy or rent it? I'm looking for something like that for my DF/groomsmen (only with a pink tie).

We took advantage of a summer sale at Macy's. Sometime in July, the Nautica seersucker suits go on sale. We got them for 50% off plus a 20% coupon that we had.
We brought all the suits and had them steamed the day before by Carolyn Allens. Since they were being steamed we stuffed them in the suit cases and didn't really worry about them getting wrinkled.

It really saved us $$$!

While it wasn't a wedding at Disney, here's what I did. I have really thick, wavy hair and my stylist is a miracle worker for getting it straight just by blow drying it. I knew I wanted it down, and how she usually does it. But that morning, they talked me into having it down, yet some piled on top of my head...does that make any sense? Here's the pics:
