I saw this article and wanted to pass it along. I am bummed because I enjoyed the store.
"Walt Disney World's scrapbooking supply shop The Wonderful World of Memories at Downtown Disney has closed, to be replaced by Design-a-Tee later this fall. Reportedly, Design-a-Tee will also carry scrapbooking supplies. In the meantime, a smaller selection of scrapbooking materials can be found at Downtown Disney's World of Disney".

It was closed when we were down for our trip 9/26. I also noticed the other places seemed to have less scrapbooking stuff as well. I didn't see any Halloween kits and they usually have those. No Halloween scrapbook, it had been the same one for the past few years but this year I didn't see one anywhere.

We were there the first week in September. I didn't see anything there that wasn't also at MouseGear and the resort giftshops. I was very disappointed in their scrapbook selection. The resort giftshops seemed to have the most.
I was also lucky enough to go by Mouse Memories while we were there. That store is a Disney scrappers dream!!! It is only about 20 minutes from Disney World, so try to stop by the next time you go. You won't regret it.

Oh gosh don't talk to me about Mouse Memories! I went there 1st day of the honeymoon (DH sat in the car listening to Metallica!!) I spen $95, DH walked in just as I was about to pay, he almost had a heart attack on the spot!
I also noticed the DTD store had closed down, no great loss honestly but I did like flicking through the books and stuff in there.

Sad to hear this store closed...not so much b/c of the scrapbooking stuff b/c there was never tons in there when we went, but I loved all the art in there! I even got a few things from there before art wise...bit of a bummer, but there are other nice places to shop. :) As far as scrapbooking items it really suprises me that disney does not offer more in the way of scrapbooking stuff they could make a killing off of me alone :rotfl: I hate having to get most of my stuff at michaels as they don't have much selection. I have found a few places online that have decent selections though.

Queenie,
You only spent $95? You were good! I'm not telling how much I spent in there. DH went with me. He's a good sport, but by the time we left he was sighing and whining a lot.:rotfl:

Hello,
I have only heard of the disney world scrapbook store - that i guess is now closed... where exactly is mouse memories and what all do they have there... i will be in disney next year 2009 and i'm an avid scrapbooker. I will however not have a vehicle there - relying on the shuttle to and from disney. Is this store worth a cab drive?

Mouse Memories is in Kissimmee. You can look on their website at www.mousememories.com to see everything they have. I don't know how much shipping is to Canada, but to me it was worth the time to go by the store (but we had a car). If you only see a few things things that you like, you may just want to order them on-line and have them mailed to you.
