Bubbles at Sail Away party?

Seems like I read a while back that a lot of people bring bubbbles for the Sail Away party...is this still the case?...we thought it would be fun, but don't want to be the only 2 doing it.

We brought our bubbles on our last DCL cruise but the weather was so bad we had to have the sailaway party in Rockin Bar D. We still brought the bubbles and a few people had them. I think alot more would have if it was outside.

Even if you are the only one who brings them, be sure to bring extra and you will have no problem finding people to join you! Lately we've been doing spa treatments at sailaway time, but we used to always brings bubbles and had a real blast. It especially attracts the kids, so hand out spare bottles to them and watch the fun spread. Hubby and I are lazy so we also have bubble guns for when we get tired of blowing. In the old days of the AOL Disney Cruise boards (anyone remember that?!), that was the way we identified each other.

If you have a party supply store close, you can buy the little bottles that are used at weddings. They come 24 to case and are small enough to slip in a carry-on. We had a BLAST! Just dip the wand and hold it over the side of the ship while it's moving.....it's a beautiful effect and so much fun!!

We had bubbles but didn't see anyone else with them. Everyone looked at us funny so we put them up!!

We brought bubbles to the sail away party but didnt really need to. The kids were so busy with all the other excitement they didnt really care so much. I tried getting some going(while juggling my drink, video camera, DS, etc...) and it was so windy they would just pop immediately. The ship does have a bubble machine to blow some, so I dont think I would bother taking them again.

I already bought 12 bottles (wedding bubbles) for our Nov 30th cruise. In Oct I loved blowing these off our WL balcony. Im sure I will have a blast blowing them on our cruise even if DS10 doesnt help out.
