What use year for May/December?

I am still confused about use year....

We are planning to buy into DVC but would be going every 18 months (approx)....

For example:
May 2002
Dec 2003
May 2005
Dec 2006
May 2008

Etc...you get the point...I know about banking/borrowing but what use year would be good in the above scenario?

My wife and I are both teachers so our trips are usually in late May/early June (that will change to late June/early July when my wife becomes a principal.) We'll also take the occasional trip the week before Christmas. Our use year is February and that seems to work well for us. If we have to cancel our summer trip we can still bank 100% of our points before the end of July. If we have to cancel a Christmas trip we can bank up to 50% of our points before the end of October and up to 25% before the end of November.
Does this make sense? If not email me...

Other than the rare scenario where you would actually have to cancel a trip, the use year really does not have much other bearing.
