My 17-year old son and I are going down in 5 weeks. YIPPEE!! We have ressies for 5 nights at All Star Sports with an AP discount, but I now need to find somewhere to stay for 3 nights prior to this. AP discounts were no longer available. I can get an AP discount for Coronado Springs, but this is still more than I was wanting to spend. So, I started thinking about one of the DTD resorts.

My question is: do these "unofficial" resorts transfer your luggage for you when you have split ressies, like they do if you are only staying on Disney property? Or would I have to get a taxi to take us and luggage to All Star Sports?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I do not think they will transfer your bags for you. I bid on www.priceline.com and bid for a 4* and was upgraded to the Hilton in DD for only 55 a night for 4 nights. You might want to check that out. I also went to www.biddingfortravel.com first to get to understand a little more about priceline becuase it was my first time to use priceline. If you only have a bag a piece you could walk to Downtown Disney use the buses there to get to All Stars, but it would probably be worth it to just take a Taxi! :p Have fun planning!

Thanks for the reply!

I ended up going with the Coronado Springs, after all. I figured it wasn't worth the hassle of moving the luggage, etc. The only problem is that my 10-year old REALLY wanted to go to this resort and she's not going this trip. Oh well, I told her we'd take lots of pictures and check it out really good for her!

I used Priceline for my first (and only, so far!) time a couple of months ago. I got a suite for 2 nights for $94 including all taxes, in suburbs of Chicago for PatrickIL's DIS meet this summer! YAY!!!

Thanks again,
