A good friend of mine just arrived at WDW this afternoon. She's a single mom who works full-time, so I planned her vacation for her. Well, she just called and they got upgraded to Concierge at the Beach Club!!! I'm so happy for her, and of course, a little envious because I know I'll never be able to afford to stay there.

I just had to tell someone!

Did you have a hand in that by faxing a nice room request or was it completely out of the blue?

Completely out of the blue! (I really didn't even think about sending in a room request for her.)

That made my day!! Its so great to hear when a single mom gets a break. How wonderful for her and her children. and she'll be able to save even more money w/ their snacks etc. Great news!! How old are the kids? They're gonna live at SAB!! :D :cool:

I think that's just wonderful for your friend! She must be very busy being a single mom and what a great thing that her vacation will be even more relaxing in concierge. I am a true believer in what goes around, comes around so I'll just assume she's a kind hearted person. Threehearts

It really made my day, too. Her kids are DS8 and DD6. They spent the afternoon at SAB. That was a big reason that she picked that resort. I can't wait to hear about her trip when she returns.

That is great to hear. Nice to know that someone who deserves a little extra is getting it. I know i use to be a single mom.

And what a sweet thing of you to do - plan her trip for her. I'm sure that she will have an absolute blast. And, it is so nice to hear of such a great thing happening to someone who probably deserves a break. Being a single parent is so very difficult. I know with two of us it is hard enough. But alone, whew!!! Let us know how it went when she gets back.
