Last week I posted a thread asking if I should switch from the WL to the GF. Well, based on your responses I did so. Because the trip is a gift for my wife's birthday, I had all of the paperwork sent to my travel agent, who also happens to be my sister. Well, she called me this morning to say that she received a confirmation of the cancellation of the WL trip, but no confirmation on the new GF ressie. She called and--NO GF ressie existed. The credit card had been credited back, according to Disney (AMEX said there is a credit pending), but I suddenly had no resservation anywhere! Well, since I actually made the ressie, I called CRO back. Of course GF was no longer available, and neither was WL. As you may imagine, I was prety upset, but I kept my cool and asked what they could do for me. The lady @ CRO (who was EXTREMELY helpful) looked around for some more rooms. She found rooms at a couple of places, but nothing on the AP discount that I had. She asked me to hold and came back a few minutes later. She offered me 3 nights @ AKL Concierge for $890.00:bounce:! I can't say if that is a great deal all of the time, but for Memorial Day weekend I thought it was too good to be true; afterall, my GF LV room was more than that. I think they made up for their goof, don't y'all?
