Hi,
We'll be in Orlando Veteran's Day weekend through the following week (11/9-11/16). Would it be smart for us to avoid the parks (particularly on that Monday) and hang out at our resort, or would we better off going to Sea World or some place like that? I'd imagine all the major theme parks and attractions will be busy..

We are planning to be there the same week & have never been there at that time. Now I'm a little apprehensive though because I just saw another post saying that Nov. is a great time to go except for the 2nd week of the month because it is "Jersey Week". Don't know what "Jersey Week" is. Does anyone else?

From what I've read on these boards, Jersey Week is a week in November that New Jersey Schools take off school. We used to have trhe same kind of thing in GA called Harvest Week where school was "optional" for people to harvest crops. The weird thing was that they didn't cancel school, you just didn't have to make up work you missed if you had a harvest week excuse from your parents.
As far as the Veteran's day goes, don't worry about crowds. We go almost every year that week because my wife works at a bank and has that day off. Even when crowds were slightly bigger, it was mostly an older crowd who stayed away from e and s ticket rides, so we never notice much.

we were in the parks (actually mk) on veteran's day last year and it wasn't that crowded at all. the most we waited for a ride was 30 minutes.

That makes me feel better. We actually always go during Easter so I shouldn't be worried about crowds, but it is nice to go when it's not so crowded as opposed to the busiest season.
Thanks for the info!!
Hey - I wish my kids could have a "harvest week" & not have to make up the work.
