YAY! :yay: My first time hosting the challenge is finally here! :dance3:
I know I'm posting this a tad early, but I'm going to be MIA on Wednesday for our community service project at work and didn't want anyone to feel that I was shirking my duties! :thumbsup2

This week's challenge is all about Disney-wear! I want to feel your true Disney love by seeing layouts about Disney clothes, hats, and costumes. I KNOW I'm not the only one that dresses the family in matching t-shirts when we conquer the World, so let's see them! And with Halloween being just a few days away, I know a lot of our kids will be sporting Disney-themed costumes. Let's have fun scrappin' Disney fashion!

RULES:
1. Layout must be Disney-themed and be about Disney clothing, shoes, hats, jewelry, costumes, etc...(no characters please unless you're dressed up WITH the character, kwim?)
2. You must use 2 or more photos, and they should all be in COLOR (no selective coloring either, I want it all in color!)
3. Use at least 3 papers, one of which must be patterned
4. Use at least 3 ribbons (paper cut in strips counts)
5. Use some stitches
6. Add some sparkle somehow
7. Use 1 and only 1 frame
8. Do some clustering
9. Use an alpha AND a font for your title
10. I want to see journaling! A sentence, a paragraph, whatever.....tell the story!
11. That's enough rules, don't ya think?

Now for the good stuff! Two winners this week will receive $5 gift certificates to JenLin Designs' store at Scrap Matters, located here (http://scrapmatters.com/shop/manufacturers.php?manufacturerid=57):
(Thanks again, Britt, for hooking us up with a prize!)

One winner will be my personal favorite, and the other will be chosen by my own personal Disney fashionista, DD Alaina (who's 7 going on 17).

All layouts must be posted here no later than 11:59PM Central Time on Tuesday, October 28th to be elligible for the prize.

I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!! popcorn:: Good Luck!

And to start things off, here's mine (click for credits)

Now it's just finding the time to scrap them! :)

How cute! Sam had that same costume a couple years ago, followed by Mickey and this year he will be a Power Ranger... does that count as Disney? Hmm I don't think I've scrapped those Buzz pics.... well anyway... great challenge!

Matching t-shirts? We had them for just about every day of our last WDW and DL trips! At first DH thought I was completely looney, until he needed to find me when our phones weren't working. Now he doesn't bat an eye when I hand over the new shirt. :goodvibes

This one will be fun - and Diana, I do love that LO! Your DS is a cutie.

Thanks for hosting, ngneer98! Here is my LO. The polos I am wearing in these pics have a mickey head embroidered where the logo would be on an Izod shirt. I always take my supply of Mickey polos when I visit Disney! I think I covered all of your requirements. Let me know if you don't see something.

Thanks!
Rochelle

This was so fun! I knew just what I wanted to scrap about. This is one of those magical stories I hesitate scrapping because I don't want to mess it up. Thanks for the push to get it scrapped!!

This is mine, I knew as soon as I read the description which pictures were perfect for it.

The small journaling reads:

Nov 2005 - The girls knew we were going to a character breakfast but I’d managed to keep that Stitch would be there a secret. I brought a few of Sam’s Stitch items in a shopping bag and told her I was just carrying some things that needed to be returned. Her eyes lit up as we walked to the table and the hostess listed the characters that would be joining us.

Thanks! I picked up the kit during the last sale; we've done that breakfast often since that time and I knew I'd need it for all those Ohana pics. This one was the most fun though.

Marilee Love the matching shirts, my 17yo DD is planning a graduation trip. I'll have to tell her they need shirts for a least one day.

Christy She is so cute; love all the girly touches. You are so good at layering.

kswm Wonderful; I'm sure the princesses had fun with that and better yet the princes. Love the glitter frame.

Robin Ian is adorable; love the dates and all the poses. Isn't it great when a kit is perfect. It makes the rest easier. Love the stitches; perfect for Figment. Did you recolor the alpha? I'm still having trouble with that; might need you to show me how.

Like so many of us, we usually wear matching shirts to Disney -- at least in color. It's great for keeping up with each other. However, the fun of it is why we really do it. :)

Thanks for hosting the challenge!

I love everyone's layouts! So much fun. I'm hoping to get mine completed by tomorrow's deadline. We were away again this weekend and now our refrigerator died on us last night. So it's out to the store for ice and to salvage whatever food that I can before the repairman gets here. That, and I'm starting to teach a scrapbooking class tonight that I still gotta prepare for.

Yeah - I know, I'll have some cheese with that whine. :lmao:

I can't wait to see what else people come up with!

Here's my LO. I ended up having time to do it since my class was cancelled. Oh well.

The only day's clothing that was duplicated here was from MNSSHP - the rest was from each day of our trip.

Everyone's layouts are so neat!! What a great challenge! As many shirts, sweatshirts, hats, etc. that we own, I couldn't really come up with any great pictures so, I went with watches! You rarely find me without a Disney watch on. You should see my H cringe when he sees me walk towards the watch counters in Disney World!!

quiltymom-you definitely caught the essence of the challenge with all those matching outfits! i love how the different element clusters highlight the different colors of the outfits! awesome job!

pooh46-LOVE that LO! very razzle-dazzley! so far I've avoided that particular obsession....I'm a snowglobe collector, but those things take up a lot of room! might have to switch to watches! :)

Yzerbear-I've seen you and your sister in matching shirts in LOs before so I figured I'd see them again here! love all the pink and the simple lines...very pretty LO!

Oh the indecision! :confused3 So many great layouts this week, I'm thrilled!!! :cool1: Choosing will be difficult!:headache:

Thanks everyone for participating in this week’s challenge!:yay:

My favorite layout was by Britt:
http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm231/ngneer98/dream_ears_WEB.jpg

I wanted to give that gorgeous layout (and great story!) a shout out, but since she already gets everything at the SM store anyway, I’m giving her prize to Christy (DisneyCruiser2008) for this layout:

http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm231/ngneer98/Minnie_Penny_-_Page_051.jpg

I just love the clustering on this layout, and the red/black/white colors just make the pictures really stand out!

And the other winner is Pooh46 and her watch collection!

http://i297.photobucket.com/albums/mm231/ngneer98/DisneyTime.jpg

I love all the glittery elements and combining the different starburst papers together!

Congrats, ladies! Britt will PM your GC code to ya soon! Thanks again for playing everyone, all the layouts were fab! This week's challenge is already up, so let's go! :thumbsup2
