Can anyone add their own touches to this design?

I copied this from Pat's first page. (She's no longer here.) I really like the design but there's just something off about it. It doesn't look like it would really pop on a cabin door. Was hoping a few designers could put their on tweak on it. BTW, I would like to have it in 3 names (Dara, Tim and Robbin) when I find the design I like. Anyone up for the challenge? Edit....Oops. Forgot the image!;)
