Night Before Cruise

We will be arriving Friday morning and would like to visit the Kennedy Space Centre before checking in to a hotel close to port. Any suggestions for car rental from Orlando Airport and/or Hotel in the vacinity of the port for the night prior to the cruise?

Most people recommend Avis rental which is in the airport, and then has an office at the Radisson at Cocoa Beach, with a free shuttle to the port--we used them last cruise and it worked great. Alot of people stay the night before at the Radisson, which depending upon your time going may have rooms specials of $59 and suite specials of $99 (code FALL). Haven't stayed there so I can't give my opinion as to the hotel.
