I am booking SSR this week and would like to request a building, as it is just me and my DD, I would like a building close to the main building, shop and refillable mug station as I want be able to quickly pop out on my own to get drinks, speak to concierge etc. SSR looks really spread out and don't want a long walk with DD every time we want a drink.
Is it congress building that I will need to request?

The building next to the Grandstand pool (housing rooms 8501 - 8836) is a very short walk to both the main building and the boat dock. The Springs section is the one actually located on the same "island" as the main complex.

Thanks - just found a Map on here and think I will request for the Springs as all the buildings seem close to the bus stop. I think I would feel better requesting an area than a building as hopefully we will get a better chance of getting our request.

There are bus stops in each section. The bus picks up and drops off at Grandstand first (so you don't have to do a tour of the rest of the resort).

Thanks - Grandstand seems the better option now.

Grandstand is ideal, you also have a better chance of getting it as everyone want's Springs. Also there's a nice pool there, with a hot tub and play area for the lil uns.

Dh has just pointed out that my previous post is ambiguous. Obviously you do have to do a tour of the resort when being picked up. The benefit of being first on is that the bus won't ever be full (which is a possibility at some of the later stops).

Well I ended up booking Beach Club Villas instead after DD convinced me and it makes sense really as we will be spending most of our time at Epcot for the flower show. I got all 7 nights in a studio.
