I seem to remember that if you book a room at a special rate, and the end part of your vacation falls outside the dates for the special rate, you get that rate for your WHOLE booking.
Is that still right?
I'm really frustrated because the reservations agents I keep getting connected to are completely CLUELESS!
Thanks gang!

Sadly, that's not the way it works any more. Now the rates change based on specific days and dates.

Here's one of my examples. I am traveling 12/6/08-12/13/08 to WDW doing a split stay. My first leg is 12/6/08-12/10/08 to POP. The DMK code is good 11/1 - 11/22, 11/29 - 12/6, 12/14 - 12/23/2008. Since the discount is good on 12/6/08, I'd have to book a room with a travel date ending on 12/6/08. If a trip extends beyond this time period, then the code is unusable throughout the entire stay. In my case, i'd have to book 12/5/08-12/6/08 to get the discount to apply for that one day only. For some reason using 12/6/08-12/7/08 does not work with the discount even though technically it should so :confused3 .

That scenario does work for the Disney Visa Free dining discount. So long as your vacation starts before the end date of the discount, it will apply for your entire stay.

We have booked the bounceback for next Oct. for free dining and were allowed to extend outside the dates, as long as we checked in before the promo end date. But, last year when we did the bounceback...the CM would not let us extend outside of the promo dates. Go figure!
I agree tho...it seems they are more apt to allow extending past the promo end date for free dining....no so much for room discount promos.

There seem to be a lot of bugs with the new code.
I think the hang-up here is that even though DMK is stated to be good 11/29-12/6, they also state that it is good only Sunday -Thursday nights (thus 12/6 - a Saturday - is incorrectly listed as a check-out date)
