I've spent the last hour or so finalizing my Mousekeeping envelopes. :yay: they are finally done! :woohoo: I will do the same thing I did last year, which is put cash in them now so that they are ready to go. I know, I know, it's a bit soon, right? I usually just fill them and put them in my handy dandy trip binder or my passporter and they are ready to go.
I also finalized my CM thank you cards, which I will put inside my tip envelopes. Yep, I am a dork. I get those ready too. One thing I don't do though is fill them in advance since I have no idea what our tips will be. I make envelopes for each TS meal, put the thank you cards inside which usually correspond with the theme of the TS location and put them in my back pack. I then put the tip inside and leave them with the bill. :rolleyes1
Yay, two more things done. Well, not technically done done as I still have to print and laminate the cards.
You are so crafty!! I should make those kind of things! How did you make them..if you don't mind sharing :)

Hahaha, you're right - at least it's not snowing! and I don't think it is too soon to do your Mousekeeping stuff! I wanted to tell you that I was thinking about your CM thank you cards on my trip. We really only had a few CM's that were especially friendly this trip! And Eddie  from Rose & Crown was nice AND cute!! LOL! Look for him when you go - if he's even still there in September!
Jiko was great. You should definitely consider it. My parents both LOVED it and so did I. Our waitress was extremely helpful and provided great service. Also there weren't a thousand little kids running around or strollers banging into you like at Boma. Great atmosphere and great food! perfect for an anniversary!!
As for my mom - this morning I finally got her to say that she'd like to take a trip - she just doesn't want to go to Disney!!!!!!!! I tried to say "Yeah but I have a PIN code and it would be cheaper than anywhere else! No worries about transportation, etc. Once you pay for your vacation - that's it!" I think she's thinking about it LOL. I'm trying to make a list of things to do that you wouldn't think about at Disney to persuade her. Any ideas?!
PS last night I found a photo of my girlfriends and I from 8th grade with our homemade matching t-shirts for the OTown concert at Nautica downtown! Remember that place??
I'm sorry to hear that you didn't run across too many awesome CM's. :confused3 I'm going to take them with me in the hopes that I run into some great ones while we are there! ;)
We had Rose and Crown on our original list of places to eat. Lunch I think if I remember. If we go there, I will be sure to tell Eddie you said hi.
I told Joe about Jiko this morning. We're going to check out the menu together. Thanks for the suggestion.
You have to talk your mom into Disney! There is so much to do there. My mom LOVES it. You should check out Borders to see if they have a book on Disney for Adults. I want to say that they do but I can't remember. Good luck talking her into going!!!
Nautica. OMG, how funny. I though am old enough to remember going to the Agora. Sheesh, I am ancient!
You are so crafty!! I should make those kind of things! How did you make them..if you don't mind sharing :)
I love making those things. Actually, they are pretty easy. I went to the internet and got a bunch of free Disney clip art. I put the clip art on envelopes. For Mousekeeping I used the regular number ten ones and then for the restaurant tips, I have smaller ones. They work like a charm. :goodvibes
Update
Joe and I have to go to our storage locker and get some of our summer clothes. I want to see what fits me. I am not doing well on this freaking diet. :sad2: I have to try harder I guess.
So my mom is super excited for September. I may have mentioned earlier that she has a drawer that she puts all of her "Florida" stuff in. She told me the other day that she has rearranged it several times over the last week. Joe and I took her to Penney's last weekend. She got herself 4 pair of capri's for our trip. Funny, I bet she doesn't wear them all summer becuase she wants to "save" them. :lmao:

I can imagine how frustrated you are about the dining ressies ~ but I say make it for where you want to ~~~ don't listen to anyone else in this case! So many times, for dining and movies, etc. I have read negative reviews to find that I totally disagree with them!
Really think of where you'd both like to have dinner and just do it :thumbsup2 I think you'd be happiest that way :)
I also just want to say it's so nice what you do to show CMs that you appreciate them. A couple of weeks ago my son met a nice CM at the Kim Possible station in Innoventions. Well she said she loves Kim Possible and complimented him on her pins. She said she loves pins and would love one of Kim Possible but she didn't think they made them. Well, he found one on another CM a week later and saved it for her. We found her last week while there and he offered it to her and she looked at him like he was CRAZY :headache: She wouldn't touch it or take it, and she was like, "Um, we can't take gifts..." and continued to look at us all like we were weirdos. My son felt bad and embarrassed the way she was treating us, like we were totally crazy. She even asked the other CM, an older man who wasn't very friendly ~ she said to him "We can't take things from them can we?" and he said no, not allowed.
Anyway, maybe it was just her, but I think it's great and would love to make some cards up for the nice CMs and hopefully have good experiences with that. Having APs I have found that the nice CMs I talk to really is one of the most enjoyable thing about WDW :goodvibes

Hey Amy,
I'm surprised the CM reacted that way when your son tried to give her the pin. :confused3 Going as much as you do these days, do you find more grumpy CM's than nice ones? For the most part, we have not run across many that were not nice. I can only think of two....one at CRT and one at the AKL. In all my trips, just two. :rolleyes1
I have the feeling that I am driving Joe nuts with our anniversary meal. This is the first year that I have struggled with the decision, but who knows?
I've been reading your report by the way. Sounds like you are really happy with your move to Florida. :goodvibes:goodvibes It would be so awesome to be able to visit WDW any time or when the mood strikes. :wizard:
If you decide to make some CM cards, please post them. :flower3:

We got our maps, too!!! They're so great!! DH was really thrilled about them too. His second reaction was "why didn't we know about these for our honeymoon??" The ones we just got have my parent's last name on them since we're using the maps as part of the surprise. I promised DH we'd order a set with our last name on them in 6 months!

I think it's awesome that you are using the maps as part of their surprise. I'm thinking about framing ours when we get back. They are an odd size so it may cost a small fortune!:lmao:

Did you size them?? I went to ac moore the other day and forgot the dang maps! I was hoping to find a regular frame for them! oof.. but yes I think the surprise maps is a wonderful idea!!

I have not sized them yet but I will do that today since I am off....well, sorta off. I have a project to get done this morning then the rest of the day will be filled with finding everything to take to the tax dude tonight. Yep, finally getting our taxes done. I miss the days when I could do them myself.....stupid corporation......it's more of a pain than it's worth. :sad2:
If I can find the code for CROC's, I think I am going to order me a new pair too. Not that I need them or anything but I want to try the Mary Jane's.

This is not a PTR update but more of an OMG moment........:scared1::scared1:
So I'm sitting at my desk yesterday trying to get everything done since I am off today and tomorrow. My stupid crackberry is behind me and it starts to ring. I'm thinking that maybe it's Jenn :) so I answer it....only to hear this........."this is 911 emergency. We received a call from this number. What is your emergency?" :guilty: So I tell the lady that I didn't call 911 and that aside from my stupid blackberry being stupid, I don't have an emergency. I apologized to her and hung up.........only to look at my stupid blackberry and see that it was in emergency call mode.:eek: I could not get the freaking thing to go out of that mode. I had to turn it off and back on and the next step was to take out the battery. I can't even go to Verizon and get a new one because I need my work email while I am out and IT needs it to put my stupid work mail on the new blackberry. :sad2: Needelss to say I felt like a jerk and had hoped that the 911 operator didn't think I was pranking them or something...which is against the freaking law!
I didn't want to touch the thing after I got home last night and frankly, I'm scared to use it over the next 2 days while I am off...but I have no choice! :scared1:

We did pack in a lot and I am sorta worried about Joe and will he be able to go like this. One thing, it's a short visit. He is just as much a Star Wars geek as my bro so they will spend more time in the special shop and meet and greets than anything else. If my bro had it his way, he would not leave DHS but Joe wants him to get a taste of everything to see if we can get him to go back again some other trip. I figured that we can always take a break if we need to or Joe can go back to the resort if he's in a lot of pain.
And OMG, I WISH you were going with us!

I actually found the shirts on the DISign board and DH and I changed them up a bit. I've done others for this trip too which are in this PTR. Not sure what pages though. The DISign boards have great ideas and there are a LOT of talented DISigners, I mean LOTS.....and they share. I'm happy to help you if I can too. If you like the ones we have, I can probably edit ours and make them for you...or at least I can try.

Hi Di,
Thanks for the birthday wishes. I had a fun day. Joe took me shoe shopping which is always fun. He also got me Disney dollars (go figure) and some shirts. My mom got me Disney dollars too which was really nice. We had dinner at a great Chinese place too. I had my hair done and my oldest and closest friend owns the shop. She had a cake waiting for me when we got there. It was a very nice day.
I am going to check into the new place at AKL to find out when they are going to open. That's a good idea. I will have to check out the menu if it is posted somewhere.
I am trying to get organized. If I don't do it now, I never will. I keep telling Joe that there is always time for zebra domes! He just laughs.

Isn't that crazy? I saw CBR for like $500 an thought that was good. I kept checking Pop which was all sold out and then they suggested ASMo suite for $700...that doesn't make sense for us. So then right before I booked CBR I thought I would just check Pop ONE more time....just in case. And it was available! Woo woo! :cool1:
I've never stayed there before and I'm kind of nervous. Did you request any specific buildings or anything? I booked a preferred room because that was the only thing available but I have no idea what that entails! I'm making some ADR's today and then I'll let you know what we have going on!

I am determined to get my binder up to date before we visit Jenn (inkedupmomma) in 2 weeks. I want to show here how "organized" I am. :lmao:
My mom told me over the weekend that she wants me to make mousekeeping envelopes for her too. I still have to print mine and I hope to stuff them too by the end June. I have my little calendar all ready. Do mousekeeping envelopes and have them stuffed by June. Get tip envelopes printed...can't stuff them because I have no clue what the tips will be yet. And so on.
I also realized that the last time I renewed my TIW card (formerly DDE) I did it so I could get multiple trips out of it. It doesn't expire until the end of September 2009 so :woohoo: I get two more trips out of it. The 20% discount helps especially because you can use it on adult beverages as well. :rolleyes1 I also figured that my oop costs for meals that are outside of the dining plan will be around $400. Still not enough to add on dxdp for the two of us but using the TIW card will save me 20%. I think that most if not all of the places that we will be paying oop will take the card. :cutie:
I subbed to a cake thread and I think that I am going to order a cake for Joe as a surprise. I really wanted to do GF but apparently you can't just order them and pick them up or have them delivered to wherever. :headache: If I read the thread right, you have to have them delivered to a restaurant in the GF. So, I am still on the hunt for a place to get a cake. I DO NOT want a podium cake so we'll see. I think Joe would get a kick out of it. I'm also going to see if I can get his anniversary gift when we are there in May. I just have to find a distraction to get him away from me while I get it. For some time now he has had his eye on a watch at WoD. My luck it won't be there but I am sure that I can find him one. I don't think he will ever suspect that. RIght now I think he thinks I am getting him a stein to add to his collection.
We went to the Disney store the other day and I got to add to my Disney Dollar collection so I'm happy about that. :goodvibes It makes it so much easier to just accumulate that instead of trying to figure out last minute what we can afford to take. I figure if we buy Disney Dollars then we won't spend them before we go.
That's it for now. I know, lame update but I tried. :rolleyes1 Joe tells me there is a funny Family Guy on so I'm going to watch it with him.

I am determined to get my binder up to date before we visit Jenn (inkedupmomma) in 2 weeks. I want to show here how "organized" I am. :lmao:
:dance3:Can't wait to see it!!!
And so on.
I kinda want some too.. just sayin..:rolleyes1please show me when you are here how to make them, please!

I want to see your Disney binder! If I ever take a trip that involves more than like, 4 days in WDW I would totally have one! I'm coming home again this weekend for Easter/Indians Opening Day. We're basically neighbors so I might come over and take a look, LOL!
How exactly does the TIW card work and how do you get one? Sounds like it will be getting you some great savings!
Which Disney store do you go to? I didn't know they don't all have Disney dollars. I don't know how Disney dollars work, either!! Belle told me she noticed that everyone around her was paying for everything with Disney $$ so we were confused. If it's just cashing in regular money for Disney money, I might have to do that!! Otherwise I'll spend it on takeout or something else I don't need.
Hope you had fun watching family guy!

great update! I needed an update today!
So I won't have to buy a new TIW card this year which is cool. That means that I will have used the same discount card for three trips and a total of 23 days. :woohoo: It more than pays for itself which is why we keep renewing. :wizard: So you know what that means???? We can have ourselves a little drinky-pooh here and there and get 20% off.
So, two weeks or so til our visit. :thumbsup2 I can't wait....and now that Joe's car is "legal" we're good to go. Get this.....the stupid dealership did not transfer the title from his last car that he totalled to the new one! :scared1: He has been driving around since last September with invalid plates. :scared1: He went NUTS yesterday at the BMV when he found out that the stupid dealership did not transfer the title.
I am subbed to a thread that Carrie is on and she has lots of good info on cakes. :goodvibes I'm gonna get one to surprise Joe. We should get one for John's birthday too. :flower3:

Come on over and check out the binder. :flower3: We'll be home this weekend too, except for Sunday....we'll be in Lakewood.
The TIW card is great. If you are an AP holder you can buy one for $60. That's what I paid last time I renewed but I have no clue if they are still that same price. Nearly all of the TS locations and some CS locations take the card which gives you 20 percent off of your bill, including alcohol. At first I thought it would be a pain to keep digging for, etc. and how much would we really save? Well, one trip to a place like the Yachtsman and you can potentially save 20 bucks or more. You can use it for up to a party of 10 (I think). It's awesome.
I get my Disney Dollars at Great Northern, or Great Nothing as we call it. Doubt we'd go there if they didn't have a Disney store because it is a pain in the you know what to park, etc. I know that Mentor Mall had them too because last year we went there to get them because Great Nothing was out of them. Last year we took $2,500 in DD. I went through a phase of saving $1 bills and stuffing them into a drawer. I then made Joe roll our coins which he HATED :rolleyes1 however it resulted in over 500 bucks. I took all that to the Disney store (after turning the coin into cash ) and got DD's with it. Basically whenever we are going near a mall I empty the $1 bill drawer and take it with me. If they have DD's, I get them. Basically, you just use them like regular cash on property.
Family Guy is so freaking stupid that it's funny. :rolleyes1

I love DDs and they are so darn cute!!
Whenever I go with the kids I always get them for them.. its a good way to save the money and not worry about spending it before the trip gets here.. When I go by myself I tend to just put the money on a giftcard that way I only have one thing to carry.. They just make it so easy to spend money :rotfl:

I've never stayed there before and I'm kind of nervous. Did you request any specific buildings or anything? I booked a preferred room because that was the only thing available but I have no idea what that entails! I'm making some ADR's today and then I'll let you know what we have going on!
Hi, we've stayed in a preferred room at POP before, and it just seems to mean that your room will be nearer to the pool and the main building. We were in building 7 and initially thought it was at the back of beyond but it was in a really convenient location to everything! :thumbsup2
Hi Sophia!
All caught up now, your plans sound good. The cake and the watch sound like a good idea - I'll keep my fingers crossed that the watch is still there! :thumbsup2
And obviously the Reichstag stein! :rotfl:

Mini update on our May trip...........
So, my brother still has not made his flight reservations for our trip. He is the one that wanted to do this trip and after months Joe and I agreed to do so. We're all set. All he had to do was make one ressie........his plane ressie. :sad2: Since we are only there for 4 days and renting one car, I wanted to be sure that we could arrive at the same time. He is coming from Atlanta where there are a bazillion flights to everywhere. Get this. They have one flight that arrives around the same time that we do and one flight that leaves around the same time that we do.........yep, that's it......just one. He wants to fly Delta because he has an unused ticket and the only airline that gets there at the desired time......Airtran. :scared1: I told Joe that if my brother doesn't get his butt in gear, I'm sticking him on ME.:rotfl2::rotfl2:
Joe said that my mom and I are driving him nuts with our reminder emails and such and that in spite, he will probably arrive at the worst time possible. That dude is making me nuts with his lack of enthusiasm to make his ressies!!!!!!!!! :rolleyes1 Come on people, we have only 4 days...4 days I say, so let's make the best of them.
My mom was talking to my brother and basically told him that his commando sister has the itinerary all planned out and that this includes a 7:30 a.m. breakfast.:eek: I can't believe that she actually TOLD him what time! I told him it was "early" and that was it. She said he about lost it. So, that said, who knows what is next on the horizon? Why do I think that Joe and I are going to be going alone? :rolleyes1
Update on September trip
I spent the better part of Saturday, okay, every hour that I was home on Saturday, working on my binder. :cheer2: It is nearly finished now. All of my tip envelopes for mousekeeping are done. All of my tip envelopes for dining are also done ... yes, I use envelopes. :cutie: I also did my thank you cards and have already put one in each envelope as well. I have another stack that I will carry with me for CM's too. :flower3: Next I am going to go to the bank and get 5's and 1's so that I can load the envelopes for Mousekeeping. They are all in their own sheet protectors in the binder at the beginnig of the section that I labeled "day by day." In that section I have a sheet protector with the mousekeeping envelope to start the day, then I have my itinerary for the day, behind that are the menus for the places we plan to eat (tip envelope included in the sheet protector containing the menus), then I have the place where I take my notes at the end of each day.....and that is just ONE tab of the binder! :rolleyes1
I also found a thread here where someone makes dining plan punch cards. I got two...one for mom and one for us. They are really cute. I am going to laminate ours and then get a hole punch (small one) that I can use. I figured I'd either carry it with us if it was small enough or at the end of the day just punch out what we used. Cute! I will probably attach it to my laminated itinerary cards that I carry with me each day. Yeah, I am a Disney dork!
I also requested some DISigns for T-shirts from two awesome designers here on the DIS. I was able to download them and I already have t-shirts and iron ons so I am ready to get started making our shirts. Some of then do not have names on them and others do. I can't wait to get then done. When I do, I am going to post them here.
I am hoping to get our trip paid off by the end of April. We don't owe a lot because I keep making payments on line whenever I can. I will be doing the happy dance for sure when that day comes! :dance3:
Lastly, I have decided that I really need to go back to Weight Watchers. I just can't do this by myself :sad1: It's just not working. :sad2: I had to climb a flight of stairs yesterday and got winded at the top which is so not good. We don't have stairs in our house so I don't get to use them often. I figure I have to go and start now so that I can be ready to walk the parks! What's strange is that I don't have issues when we are there walking for long periods of time. I just know that I have to start getting these pounds off now. So, I am an on line member of Weight Watchers but I think I now need the real deal.......
So that's it. Sorry for rambling......... :flower3:

Well, I felt guilty after I posted this morning. :guilty: Had I looked at my email I would have seen that my brother did make his arrangements and he sent me his itinerary. :confused3 I felt so bad. He is getting there an hour before us so he will be waiting on us. :rolleyes1
 Jenn, wait til you see this binder. I think it's awesome if I don't say so myself. :rolleyes1 And I will show you how I made my cards and stuff and if I will get you a hole punch when I get mine. :flower3:
I talked to my friend today. She is going in July and hasn't even thought about ADR's. :confused3 I told her that she is so close to her 90 day window that she needs to get with the program. :teacher: Apparently they have not decided where to go yet. :sad2: :scared1:
Joe was psyched this morning when I told him who is scheduled to be at Star Wars weekend. :lovestruc Apparently the dude that played Darth Maul? :confused3 Who knows. All I know is he was doing the happy dance when he found out. :dance3:
I called this morning and got details on the cruises that are offered. I've decided on a Wishes cruise since there are more boats than the Illuminations cruise and am going for the decorated pontoon boat. I also want to have a cake delivered to the boat that night. I am booking the deluxe package so that we have sound from MK too. They said that they have coke products, chips and pretzels on board as well. I will be surprising Joe. Now to figure out how to do this. He will complain no doubt about an early ADR on our anniversary. I just hope that he doesn't pull the "I'm too tired to go to a park again" on me when I tell him that I want to go back out. I have to think of a good scheme to get him out. :idea:Once I know what marina we are sailing out of I am going to tell him that I want to go to such and such resort to "check it out." The problem is, we've seen them all. So I somehow have to get creative. I am sort of hoping that we sail out of the GF. Maybe we are just better off eating somewhere there. It might make this a whole lot easier. :confused3 Any way, I have to get my my brain moving once I find out where were are sailing out of. It will depend on what is available.

Hi Dawn :wave2:
:welcome:
Yay :yay: a new reader!!!
Scrapbooking relaxes me so when I am super stressed I tend to spend the day (as long as it is a weekend) scrapbooking. I've only done it for about a year now and hope to get better with more experience. :)
So when are you going in September exactly? We're putting a DIS meet together so let me know if you are interested!
Thanks for joining!
This is why I'm a lurker. lol What did I send that? Like a month ago?
We're going Sept 19 through the 26. But we just found out my hubby may be gone training with his military unit so if that's so we'll be cancelling.

It's fun to be a lurker on the boards. I did that for about 2 years before I joined the DIS. :upsidedow I have to say though I've met some awesome people here and I'm so glad I started to post.
Keep posting....let us know what is going on. :chat:
I hope you are still able to keep your trip plans. If so, let us know if you'd like to meet. Inkedupmomma (Jenn) and I will both be there through the 21st. :wizard:

But I did have a question. We are planning on doing the Behind the seeds tour and I saw you already have. Did you enjoy it and did the kids? Dh, DM, DD and I really want to I am just not sure about the kids.
Thanks and look forward to reading more.:goodvibes

:welcome: Thanks for stopping by! I plan to check out your PTR too. We loved the Behind the Seeds tour. My nephew was 11 and actually he enjoyed it. He was able to touch some of the Mickey shaped fruits and veggies. Got a kick out of that and feeding the talapia. I'd do it again in a minute!

So I have not been on the DIS for a while because I have been so obsesssed with Yoville on Facebook. :confused3 OMG I can't stop! I am frustrated though because my crew doesn't show up in my apartment lobby and from what I read, it's a system update thing on their side. But OMG, it is so dang addicting! Good thing I can't get to it from work.
So Friday morning we leave to visit Inkedupmomma. Yay! :yay: Joe figured out it will take us about 7 hours, 45 mnutes to get there. We finally got the suitcase down and I am doing laudry so that I can pack. Joe is teasing me because of all the stuff that I am taking for a 4 day trip. Let's hope I remember to pack everything. ;) We are so looking forward to this trip and I plan to do a trip report righ there in this thread.
And get this.....all the issues I had with Photobucket earlier.......well Joe fixed it finally. Have no idea how but it's fixed! Yay :yay:
Got a bit of news the other day. Seems my sister in law just got engaged. Great you say. Contrats you say. Well, get this.........she decided to get married on SEPTEMBER 19th!!!!!!!!!! :scared1: Uh, hello.........we will be at Disney. We got every freaking year during the same week...... I told Joe I am not cancelling. That may seem harsh but OMG, of all the freaking weeks. And, they are not having a weeding. Looking like the JP and maybe a little somethng afterwards. Now I do feel bad because my MIL passed away suddenly last December and my SIL is only 21. Part of me thinks we should cancel our trip and just go but the other part of me says why did she have to pick THAT weekend. Come on already. :confused3 When Joe reminded her in a text, her response was "ah, yeah, I forgot." So we have no idea what that means. :confused3 As of right now, we have no clue what she is going to do. She only has her two brothers so who knows what is going to happen here????????:rolleyes1:eek:
We're still trying to get a better deal on a rental car. It is ridiculous what they are going for right now. :sad2: I check just about every week to see what I can get for less.
Decided to definitely go with the Wishes Cruise for sure now for our anniversary. Going to look into having a cake on board but only if I can get it from the GF bakery. I am thinking of scheduling our dinner there so that we can get the cake and then just taking it with us. Still need to figure out how to keep this from Joe.
Well that is it for now. :flower3:

What is Yoville?! Sounds fun! I love addicting stuff like Facebook and the DIS....it keeps be distracted from my schoolwork, LOL!
I cannot believe that about the wedding! I mean obviously she is going to put her priorities before yours because it is HER wedding, but if she expects certain people to be there you would think she would call you and say "hey I'm pretty sure we're going to book this date so i just wanted to make sure you're going to be around then." or something? That's so stressful to try and figure out what to do now!!

Thanks. I told my parents and Dh what you said and we are definately planning on doing it this time. I am really excited for it. :cool1::yay:

Hey Sophia
First thing.... Happy (wayyyy belated) birthday! Hope it was a good one! You deserve it!
I caught myself up & updated my PTR... the reveal went AMAZING
I have to say I'm stealing your thank you card idea & the envelope thing too.... youre amazing.
I cant wait to meet you guys & my DisFamily is super excited to meet you all as well. I told them about getting CM together & they LOVED the idea. My Dad thinks its so cool I have met all of you online... so am I. :goodvibes
We should start a thread of all of us going in September & going to CMs on the 13th.
We also decided on going to MNSHP! YAY! I'm thinking were going on Tuesday which is exciting. Are you guys doing friday for sure? Is it better on Friday? I'm thinking Tuesday only because it will possibly be less crowded?
I hope all is going well & Im looking forward to see you guys.
<3 Amanda
P.S. I love your scrapbook stuff! I'm a scrapbooker myself (its an obsession) and I bought the SAME paper you have with the giraffes on the bottom! haha! I figured it would be perfect since we are staying at ALK. I actually have 3 scrap books Im planning to fill after this trip (once again... obsessed). I figured since its a week long trip & I want to add pics of the reveal & the first few days of the trip. The second will be for the final few days of the trip.
I want to take the 3rd book & use it for just "posed" pics. I'm bringing down a thing of pretty colored card stock stack (4x6) and some metallic markers. I plan on getting autographs from any pics taken & put it next to the image (yeah... I'm lame... my Dad was making fun of me when I told him that idea). He said something like "as long as none of you are going to be carrying around autograph books" I was like "ummm... I am" He told me I wasnt & I explained to him why. He thinks its lame but I think it will be awesome!

We have been banned from using social networking sites from work as well - can't think why the NHS would do that?!!
Have a great time and tell us all about it!
And get this.....all the issues I had with Photobucket earlier.......well Joe fixed it finally. Have no idea how but it's fixed! Yay :yay: Brilliant - good for Joe!
Not sure what is going on with my SIL's wedding. :confused3 No one does and she never called Joe back! I told Joe to call her and find out what's going on. Not that she has to plan her wedding around us but come on....she KNOWS that we go back every year on our anniversary. :sad2: It's a "wait and see" thing now but Joe said that we are definitely not canceling our trip. Hey Amanda,
Thanks for the belated birthday wishes. :goodvibes
I'm so glad that the reveal was a success. I knew it would be!
I sent you the template for the thank you cards. I did the envelopes in PowerPoint. They are pretty easy but I can send those to you too if you'd like.
We're excited about CM's too. Let me know if you start a thread. :wizard:
I'm a scrapping fool! We stayed at AKL three times and it was hard for me to find paper that I liked that went with the theme so I ended up with quite a few sheets of that same pattern. :confused3 That's okay though. I changed it up quite a bit.
Friday was not crowded at MNSSHP really. Every year we have gone on a Friday and it's been great. You NEED to go with us on Friday!!!!!!!
I love your idea about including autographs. I wanted to do that too but Joe looked at me like I had three heads! I too am obsessed with scrapping. :woohoo:

Di,
My brother is not the most organized member of our family and frankly, I was getting worried about the flights. :scared1: Joe said that if I kept it up that my brother would probably wait until the last possible minute just to drive me nuts!
I can't wait to see his face when I go commando on him and make him get up at the crack of dawn! :rolleyes1

Hi everyone,
Well, here it is. My TR for our visit with Jenn (Inkedupmomma). :goodvibes
I must first start by telling you that my darling husband is at a Cleveland Indians game and he has our Cybershot with him so I cannot download those pictures. :sad2: I did however download the ones from my camera so for now, they will due just fine. I will add more later.........
So, we got up at the crack of dawn (insert picture from sunrise here since it is on the camera that Joe has :rolleyes1). It started to rain really hard at one point and I was tempted to put in season 1 of One Tree Hill as a distraction but I didn't. We crossed into PA within about 2 hours (insert crappy picture of PA sign...also on the other camera). We stopped only twice and made it to Jenn's in about 7 and a half hours. :woohoo:
Joe and I decided that we had to Jack some birthday balloons so we stopped at a party store for them and hoped that they would last until the party the next day. This picture is the day after and they didn't seem to make it too long. :scared1:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh157/scyoungbauer/JacksBirthdayParty/JacksBirthday007.jpg
We got a Mickey head balloon, a Happy Birthday balloon with Mickey on it, a Pirate balloon, black, yellow and red balloons and of course, one pink one since we were having a "pink pirate" party!
John was off work so that was cool! Jenn didn't tell Kayla that we were coming so Jenn and I surprised her when we picked her up from school while the guys went to the store for party stuff. We also picked up Noah (Jenn is his nanny) on our way back to the house.
We decided to go to It's Nutts for dinner. Actually, Jenn decided. Insert picture here from other camera. The food was awesome! Our little host for the evening had to be like 12. He was so dang cute. Everyone but me got pizza which was fabulous (I had to taste it) and I got a souvlaki sandwich. I was snickering to myself because they spelled it wrong on the menu.
Jenn and John did all of the baking that night...late that night! I had been up since before 4 am so I passed out on the couch. As Jenn will tell you, I tend to sleep a LOT! :guilty: After all of the cakes and cupcakes were baked we went to bed so that we could get up early and start getting stuff done. :teacher:
Saturday morning we got up and started working on the cake and the side dishes. Poor John and Joe, we sent them to the store I don't know HOW many times. :rolleyes1 So, here are pictures of our frosting filled cupcakes and the pirate cake. What do you think????????? How did we do????????

Here is the finished cake!!!!!!

And check out this banner that Jenn got!
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh157/scyoungbauer/JacksBirthdayParty/JacksBirthday008.jpg
We hung this outside for the party.
Let me tell you, it took us until the first person walked into the door to be ready for the party. I made my famous baked beams....well, famous in my family at least. ;) I also made macaroni salad. Jenn's friend made a pasta salad too which went great with the rest of our menu~
It was really hot that day so the kids went on the slip and slide. I did not include any pictures of kids other than Jack and Kayla because you never know how parents may feel about that. So, here are Jack and Kayla! Are they adorable or what? OMG, they are just too cute!

Somewhere during the party I broke out my Disney binder...or I should say Jenn broke out my Disney binder and showed it two of her friends. :rolleyes1
I got to meet a lot of really great people including Jenn's uncle and her grandma. I actually met them both the first day we were there and her grandma (Grace) was at the party. All in all I have to say that Jack's third birthday party was a HUGE success! :yay:
After the party we were all tired and I do believe I took myself a little nappy on the couch again. :rolleyes1
I think Jenn and I got to talk a bit about ADR strategy and other Disney ideas that we wanted to discuss too during the day and later after the party.
The next day we were going to The Shad Festival. :yay:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh157/scyoungbauer/JacksBirthdayParty/JacksBirthday195.jpg
Before we left Jenn and I did some Disney planning again. We looked through our times that we wanted to make ADR's for and juggled ideas for surprises for the kids. She's got some great ones lined up!!!!
This was my first ever Shad Festival and I have to say, I had no clue what a Shad was until Jenn told me. It's a fish. :rolleyes1 The festival was fun. It was really freaking hot so Joe and I were miserable from the heat and stupid moron me had jeans on which did not help. We had a pulled pork sandwhich which was awesome and I mean awesome. I also had a funnel cake which was probably one of the best I have ever had.
We mosied around the festival for a while. I have to say that this part of the country is beautiful. It was so pretty and just so calming. I love the old historic areas of PA. This has to be one of my favorite areas that I have seen so far. I wish we could have spent more time just looking around the area but that will have to wait until our next visit.
Here is a picture of Joe that I took at the Festival:
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh157/scyoungbauer/JacksBirthdayParty/JacksBirthday191.jpg
Jack and Kayla made sand art while we were there too.
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh157/scyoungbauer/JacksBirthdayParty/JacksBirthday213.jpg
The kids got to meet the Geico Gecko but that picture is on the other camera...of course. Here is the picture of them in front of the blow up Gecko. Sorry, I cut his head off...........
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh157/scyoungbauer/JacksBirthdayParty/JacksBirthday206.jpg
These have got to be my two favorite pictures of Jack the day that we went to the festival.
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh157/scyoungbauer/JacksBirthdayParty/JacksBirthday181.jpg
http://i255.photobucket.com/albums/hh157/scyoungbauer/JacksBirthdayParty/JacksBirthday182.jpg
We left the festival and went home and had a nice steak dinner. Jenn and I did some Disney planning but that was after I got my second wind. Joe and Jenn were playing Mario on the Wii (I think that is what it was) so I took my usual nap. Sometimes I think I have tv narcolepsy (or however you spell that). :rolleyes1
We were bummed that the next day we had to head for home. Our time flew by way too fast!
Oh, and I forgot to mention that Jenn gave me an awesome birthday gift while I was there too. I got scrapbooking supplies and a picture of us from last year at MNSSHP. She made the frame too and it is so dang cute. I have it in my home office which is my Disney room. I love it!!!
That's it for now. Once I get the rest of the pictures I will post more and most likely remember more of our adventure as well!
So I have to say, I am so happy and thankful to the DIS for introducing me to Jenn and to her family. We met here on the DIS and I feel like i have known her for YEARS. I'm so glad that we met and I truly feel like I have a friend for life now............Thanks DIS!

Here are a few more pictures from our trip to Jenn's.
Here is my lame attempt at the sunrise. All these are from one of our point and shoots and keep in mind it was raining and the car was moving. :rolleyes1

Couple updates here.
1. Got our tickets today for MNSSHP on Sept 18th. Decided not to use the AP discount because I wanted to get them in my hands NOW :lmao: and not have to deal with Will Call. Yeah, I passed up on the $3 discount and paid extra to have them mailed to me.:rolleyes1
2. Changed a dining ADR for May. Decided to cancel Biergarten and go to Chefs de France to see Remy before he goes away. :lovestruc He won't be there in September.
3. I need to call Dining again because stupid me.....I forgot to write down the time for our breakfast ADR at Tusker. I'm such a dork. :teacher:
And finally.............
I decided on a cake for our anniversary. In order to get said cake I am going to make our dinner ADR at GF. Anywhere at GF so I can get this cake. I have been on the cake threads based on what Lurkyloo says (I think she's the cake expert:flower3:) I want to get my cake from GF bakery. I decided on a small white cake, buttercream frosting, white fondant and I want the mickey heads stamped into it and on top I think I want a chocolate Mickey. What will be interesting is that I'll have it delivered to dinner but I am telling Joe that we can't eat it....which will confuse the crap out of him but hey, I'll figure out what I am gonna do when the time comes. I have already decided that I don't care how much it costs...period....I want it and it is my anniversary present to myself. :snooty: Hey, if I can't get a cake from Duff and the Ace of Cakes, then so be it...... This is what I want and I am gonna try my darndest to get it. Now I have to go back and read the threads to see how far in advance I can order it. :rolleyes1

I figure if we have dinner at the GF and I get the cake from there and plan it well, we should be able to go from there to our Wishes cruise. Not sure what dock they will send us out of. The lady said it depends on what is available when a person calls to book but I am going to get as close to the GF as possible.

I HATE Disney's website. With a freaking pasion.
I am trying to log into the passholder site to get the TIW application. Turns out my card is not still valid :headache: and I need to get a new one before our trip in 3 weeks. Well, for one, they take FOREVER to arrive when you do order them but I thought I'd at least try. I cannot even log onto the site and get the freaking application. So I then call to see what I can do over the phone and they are only open M-F. :headache::mad::headache::mad::headache:
I swear, every single, freaking time I go to that site I walk away so pi**ed off I swear I will never go back.

I haven't updated in a while and I really don't have much to say. :confused3 I did manage to collect all of my Mousekeeping tips and they are now ready to go in their envelopes. :woohoo:
I finalized the schedule for my May trip which is in around 2 weeks. Yikes it came up fast. We decided to try Chefs de France to see Remy so I am happy about that. I see it is a photo op more than anything else but maybe I will be surprised? Since I am on Weight Watchers (5 pounds so far!) I am really going to try and be good during this trip. All ADR's are finalized. I did call about 5 times though to move stuff around. :rolleyes1
I decided that I am going to probably do a separate TR for the May trip since it is my brother's first trip. At first I thought I'd just put it right here but now I am thinking I will start a new report. :thumbsup2
Joe and I did the swap out of summer clothes from our storage locker and this sucks....can't find ANY of my shorts or capris that I got last September before our last trip! :scared1: I have GOT to find them. I only wore them one time and that was last trip so I am not about to get new ones. I'm being cheap. :rolleyes1 Don't want to spend any more cash until I can buy a smaller size. :rolleyes1
Not much else to report. Happy Friday (if I have any readers left :sad1:).

I'm still reading! Well I kinda skimmed but whatever (just kidding :lmao: )
I've been looking EVERYWHERE for little mousekeeping envelopes & cant find them. I'm going to try an office store today.
I know the feeling about refusing to buy more clothes. I have the same issue. I put myself on a diet & have been working out as much as I can. I am determinded to have this Disney trip be the best I've looked in my life (also so when I pig out on the dining plan I dont feel bad :rotfl: )
I'm not sure if you have a Kohls store by you but they are my favorite place in the world to shop! I used to work there (bad idea... but I still love shopping there) and they ALWAYS have great sales. I told myself I'd put away like $100 for clothes for the trip if I get to my goal weight (140... I'm at 167 now & I started at 175 back around April 1st.... yay me)
Good luck & no worries, I'm still reading <3

Hey Amanda,
Well, I guess it's just the two of us. :rolleyes1:laughing:
I actually made myself nuts looking for small envelopes. I found the dang things and then I got my a** kicked trying to put them through my printer. So guess what? I ended up using good old number 10's and they worked just fine. Yeah, Joe loved the goose chase for the small envelopes only for me to not use them. :scared1:
Joe promised to look in the attic for my clothes. I hate the stupid attic and the pull down steps. I hope that we find them. We leave for Virginia this weekend and I only have next weekend to find them or I will be the stupid one roasting and wearing jeans over Memorial Weekend at Disney. :confused3 I will NOT buy new ones. No freaking way.
Congrats on the weight loss. :woohoo: You're doing great! My goal weight is around the same as yours but um.....it's gonna take me a while to get back to that! :rolleyes1 When I first met Joe I wore a size 4 skirt and let's just say that my big toe is not even a size 4 any more. Men...it's all their fault........just kidding, but I gotta have SOMEONE besides me to blame this on!!!!!!!!! And trust me, when you are a fossil like me, it takes a LOT longer to get the freaking weight off!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1::eek::scared1:
Are you on Facebook? It's my latest addiction and I need to find a distraction from freaking Yoville. :sad2: I spend WAY too much time playing that game! :wizard:

I just typed an update and it didn't post!!!!!!!!!!!!:confused3
Ugh, I hate to retype it all so here are the highlights:
1. My brother told Joe today that he bought all new clothes and got himself new shoes AND gel inserts for his shoes. To me, new shoes + Disney = disaster so I hope that he breaks them in.
2. I am totally excited that my brother is psyched for this trip. :cool1: Joe told me that my bro told him today about his budget for the trip which is what we take when we go for 10 days.:lmao: He has no idea what to expect but we are hoping that he likes it enough to come back with us when we go on our family trips.
3. Joe and I found my clothes! :woohoo: Apparently I did not put them in my fancy schmancy giant ziploc bag. :rolleyes1 I put them in a box that we had sent home from Disney last September. I knew I would not wear them again so I must have packed them in that box that we sent all of our Disney ornaments back home in. Duh, I felt like a jerk but I guess it's a good thing I found them.
I am spending the night catching up on the DIS because I hate traveling for work and I AM STILL IN DC! UGH.........

A week from tomorrow is our trip with my brother. I am so NOT ready for this trip. :sad2: This weekend I plan to do my finalized itinerary cards, laminate them, and attach them to my back pack...which by the way, I still have to find. :rolleyes1 I still have to check the extended forecast, figure out what clothes to pack and just get my sh** together as they say. For some reason, I am SO unorganized right now.
My brother is excited from what he told Joe so that makes it all worth it.
Anyone have anything special that they want a picture of? I plan to spend most of the trip trying to learn how to use my camera. Joe and my brother will be off doing their thing so it will be me and the camera. :rolleyes1 I can't wait to see if I can get any decent Fantasmic shots and I am looking forward to the Flower and Garden Festival at EPCOT.

I just checked the forecast for next weekend in Orlando. Seems like there will be showers. On Memorial day, it just says rain. :confused3 Eh, what can ya do? Monday we ae suppose to be at EPCOT for the entire day so we'll see. Cross your fingers people. I want my brother's first trip to be fun for him. I'll be packing the ponchos.
I remember last year the September forecast said rain every single day and honestly, I remember it raining once. :confused3
I am trynig to decide just how much camera equipment I want to lug down there for just 4 days. I really want to see if I have learned anythng over the last few months about using the Rebel :rolleyes1 which is I why I want to take it. On the other hand, I hate lugging all that crap for just 4 days. Don't know what to do but most likely, I will lug it with me...maybe not all of my lenses though but with my luck, I will NEED the larger one for Fantasmic. Decisions, decisions.
I've finally started packing. I probably should have made a list like I did for September....but I didn't. :guilty: I think I will do that today just so I remember to bring everything. Joe and I are going to try and travel on one bag each since we have to pay for them now. That is so stupid if you ask me. I am so not daring enough to just take a carry on case. :scared:

Mom and I sat down yesterday and went over what she needs for OOP food and all of her tips. I made her a nice little list. :teacher: After adding it all up again it seems that the dxdp will not be worth it for us. It will cost more to add it than what it would be to pay for the meals OOP. Let's hope my estimates are correct. :rolleyes1
I went shopping yesterday and picked up travel size items for the trip. I had no clue that Tide makes wipes now. I knew that they had the Tide stick but I never saw the wipes before. I got some of them. Also picked up the hand sanitizers in a spray bottle and a few other items. I want to get a small can of Lysol spray too. I'm reading that people are spraying down their rooms and bathrooms these days.
We have firmly decided on no tour this year.....which I am sort of bummed about. :sad2: With the price of the Wishes Cruise and the cake, it's just not really in the budget.
I have to figure out the changes in the photo shoot prices, etc. I have been reading on the boards that it is not like last year. I want to get that sorted out. Since I will be at the Poly next weekend I thought I'd ask them right there instead of trying to call. Maybe it will be easier to understand in person? It seems like you can no longer add park photo passes to the same CD. Either that or I am confused. And you can't add the fun borders. I love the borders. :headache: So I think that I have to get a pre-paid photo pass card for the park pictures AND a separate one for the photo shoot in order to get the $70 or $75 sitting fee and one of the three packages they are offering, plus the CD to do what I want with. It's ridiculous. I doubt that we will take enough park pictures to make it worth the $99 but then again I think a 5 x 7 is like $13 so maybe we will????? I hate this.
My nephew keeps hinting to my mom that he doesn't want her to go. :lmao: He says stuff like who will make his lunch, who will fix his breakfast, etc. We were laughing about it the other day. Mom already told him that his mother can do that and that she is definitely going on vacation. :rotfl:
My binder is now bursting at the seams so it seems that I may need to move up to the larger size now. :rolleyes1 I'm going to knock off a couple of things from the list next weekend which will be cool so I won't have to waste time dealing with them in September. I'll get my AP voucher exchanged and the TIW card taken care of (since the stupid thing DID expire :sad2:).
Well, I hope everyone has a nice Sunday!

:rolleyes1
They should be..but when you get back, I will go over everything with you again!
I'm reading that people are spraying down their rooms and bathrooms these days.
hmmm.. why did all these people say they were spraying down their bathrooms? not a bad idea really.
We have firmly decided on no tour this year.....which I am sort of bummed about. :sad2: With the price of the Wishes Cruise and the cake, it's just not really in the budget.
So why does Joe think you are not taking a tour? since he doesn't know about the cake/cruise?
I am still annoyed by all this, and will be doing my own research!
My nephew keeps hinting to my mom that he doesn't want her to go. :lmao: He says stuff like who will make his lunch, who will fix his breakfast, etc. We were laughing about it the other day. Mom already told him that his mother can do that and that she is definitely going on vacation. :rotfl:
uh.. yeah, why isn't his MOM doing that stuff anyway! I'm gonna have to FB smack her!
GREAT idea!
Well, I hope everyone has a nice Sunday!

I hope you are still able to keep your trip plans. If so, let us know if you'd like to meet. Inkedupmomma (Jenn) and I will both be there through the 21st. :wizard:
We don't know until sometime this summer if we'll be able to go. Hopefully sooner rather than later. I'm gonna feel awful if we don't get to because it's for our daughters birthday and we've been talking this up to her for almost 2 years.
I try to chat but I'm easily distracted. I start clicking on links in peoples profiles and then wander off. lol I tend not to find my way back for awhile. Plus, i'm always on when I'm at work so I have to turn it off when my boss comes in my office.
If anyone has a myspace you're more than welcome to add me on there. I'd love to chat and it's much easier for me to keep up with things on there. http://www.myspace.com/dawniellw

So here we were, two days before our trip with my bro and we had to take two of our fur babies to the vet. Both of the girls..........
Here is how Joe's day went. He came to pick me up in his car...which is white. There is construction outside my building at work and a cabbie apprently absolutely positively had to get past the car and cound NOT wait for me to shut my door. He proceeds to DRAG HIS MIRROR all the way down the side of Joe's car! :scared1: Joe jumps out of the car and the dude says he didn't know he did it! He says he will buff it out and Joe's like, no man, I gotta go. We got home and he took some laquere (spelling) thinner and tried to get the big GIANT 3 foot black streak off of his car. It came off which is a good thing but he was still mad as he**.
Ok, so next we try and catch the cats to put them in their carriers which did NOT go well at all. So much for my plot to pitch treats in and slam the door behind them. :rolleyes1 This made us late so of course we were on edge. We get there and one cat has to have her teeth done because she has one that is bad. :sad2: Then comes time for Tessie Jean. :scared1::scared1: People, she freaked in there. She has a heart issue and the doctor could not even examine her. :sad1: She flipped out. Started to pant and drool and then she went ape on Joe. Cut him up and bit him all over the place. :sad2: Now mind you, she LOVES him and is with him 24/7. Well, it was bad. He would not go to the hospital because we would have to go through the quarrantine thing. So, today he went to the doctor and got an antibiotic for the trip. Everyone cross your fingers here that it doesn't get bad when we are in FLA. Doctor said if it does, go to the ER immediately.
Ok, so then he decides to get a can of chew (I know, gross) and the kid cards him which totally made him mad. I mean, the kid was like 21 and I guess that irked him or something. :confused3
So we come home and he had DVR'd the Pens game. Well, it went 7 minutes late! :scared1: So he missed the last 7 minutes.
Fun, eh?
Ok, let us move to today...........
My sister was gonna take us to the airport tomorrow and we were gonna drive over and get her at the crack of dawn in my car.
Yeah, it's dead. Don't know if it is the alternator, or if a critter chewed thru a wire or what. Got it started once, batter light was on, turned on the air, said insufficient power and shut itself off. Tried to start it and it was like the battery was dead. And might I add that I just made the last freaking payment on it?????????????
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, is this a bad sign people? Should we stay home?

Ya know how they say bad things come in 3s? Well you exceeded that, so your trip should be excellent! If your card didn't make a click sound, like it's trying to turn over, then yeah, probably your alternator. I'll keep my fingers crossed that it's just a bum battery though! And remember, fixing is cheaper than that car payment!
Keep his wounds clean, and take the antibiotics as ordered, & he should be fine.
I hear ya with the pet issue at the hospital. Matches has a bum back right now, and despite his pain, was thrashing himself against his cage and howling/screaming yesterday when he got his steroid shot. Nice.

also, bad things do happen in 3's and you doubled that this week, so yes, this trip will rule! plus it's your bro's first time!! how cool is that!

No warranty on the car. It's 5 years old. Joe did manage to get it started and down the driveway so when they come and get it, it will be easier. He really thinks it is the alternator. The battery is pretty new.

I have been very, very busy today with all of my Disney planning. :surfweb:
I took a break from my TR and decided to get movin' on additional planning for September.:coffee:
I called Disney today to get details on all of their cruises. :wizard: I want to be prepared so that I can just call on the 90th day and get it set up fast. I am calling to do the tour first then I will call and do the dining. I am just hoping that I will not lose too much time while scheduling the tour and then get closed out of some of our dining choices.:scared1:
FIrst I called dining to find out if Kouzzina has an opening date yet. She said that so far, no, but it should be some time in the fall. I really want to go there and check it out.:)
While I had her on the phone I asked why there is a new option if you are making CM or CRT ressies. She said that so far these two places have not been switched into the new dining system so if you need these ressies you have to be sure to press whatever it is they tell you to press during the recording. :confused3
I also asked her what, in her opinion, are the three hardest ressies to get right now. She shocked me with Chef Mickey's.:scared1: She also said the obvious CRT and Le Cellier. I asked her if she thought that free dining would make it even harder and she said that it would for sure. :headache: She said that while people do cancel, free dining means longer waits on hold, etc. I am a bit freaked aobut it but what can I do?:confused3
I then called and talked to a really wonderful CM about the Wishes cruises. I told him that I want to surprise my husband:lovestruc for our anniversary but that I wanted to get every option down before I call back on the right day. I am going with a 10 person pontoon boat at $319 which includes tax.
I asked about having a cake delivered from GF Bakery. I told him that I read that you have to eat there for them to even deliver anything and he said that if we get the GF dock that they would deliver it to the boat. He said that when we book they will give me the number for the GF Bakery and catering so I can schedule all that. I figure that if I can't get it delivered there or if it costs an arm and a leg to do so, I will just get the cake at dinner and then tell him then that we are going on a Wishes Cruise right after dinner. :woohoo: I just hope that I can get the ADR at a good time too so we can go from one place to the other, especially if I am hauling around a cake. and the cake that I want, to boot!
I have also spent the last couple of hours working on the mother of all spreadsheets. It outlines a ton of information for me including where we are going on what day, what meals are oop and what are on the plan and for those oop, what is the discount, what is the tax, etc. I now have to add a last column for the approximate tip. Going through all this and having the free dining package I now know for sure that the dxdp is definitely not worth it. When I look at the TIW discount and all that, it seems that the total OOP should be under 400 but if I add the dxdp it would be $576. It's a no brainer for me.:teacher:

So today I was on the DIS and saw a link to September hours. Yeah, they were WRONG. WRONG people, they posted OLD HOURS!
They were up for like 2 seconds. I sent the link to Jenn because she wasn't able to see it. Apparently they must have been there for like 2 seconds.
Ugh, I was so dang mad!
On a more positive note.......
I started inverting the images for our tee-shirts. I think we're doing 4 of them. Or at least so far. I have a request in for an anniversary one for Joe and I but so far the DISigner has not gotten to it. She is so dang talented and has a zillion requests! I am crossing my fingers that mine comes in time. :) This weekend I plan to do the iron ons for the ones that I do have.
Joe and I were at the store the other day so I got travel sized items to replace what we used over Memorial Weekend. My brother was busting on me all weekend and calling me McGyver for all the stuff I was pulling out of my backpack. I think what got him was the travel roll of Charmin :rolleyes1. I found all sorts of goodies. My mom was impressed with the toilet seat covers that we found. I have individual Off wipes, Lysol wipes to clean the bathrooms (yeah, I do that everywhere), and all sorts of neat stuff. Just call me McGyver............ LOL
I have also decided that moleskin just doesn't work for me. :confused3 Don't know why but I found it annoying. That said, I have decided to take a crap load of bandaids which I will put on my piggies to keep from getting blisters. I know, I will look like a dork with half my toes in bandaids but hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right???
I think I now know what setting to use on my SLR for Wishes, Hallowishes and Spectro. I plan to watch the video again but I tested it all out over Memorial Weekend and I am good to go. I did not get to do any tests on Fantasmic so I am a bit freaked about that. I have not seen that show in years and I so want to get decent pictures!
Well, that's all for now. Just wanted to keep my PTR going. Anyone out there or did ya'll leave me? :sad1::sad1:

My brother was busting on me all weekend and calling me McGyver for all the stuff I was pulling out of my backpack. I think what got him was the travel roll of Charmin :rolleyes1. I found all sorts of goodies. My mom was impressed with the toilet seat covers that we found. I have individual Off wipes, Lysol wipes to clean the bathrooms (yeah, I do that everywhere), and all sorts of neat stuff. Just call me McGyver............ LOL:
Oooooh, travel size stuff! I :lovestruc travel size stuff!! It's taking all my willpower not to walk down to our SuperWalmart (love that store!) to stock up yet :rolleyes1
I have also decided that moleskin just doesn't work for me. :confused3 Don't know why but I found it annoying. That said, I have decided to take a crap load of bandaids which I will put on my piggies to keep from getting blisters. I know, I will look like a dork with half my toes in bandaids but hey, ya gotta do what ya gotta do, right???:
Yep, you do! ::yes::
I think I now know what setting to use on my SLR for Wishes, Hallowishes and Spectro. I plan to watch the video again but I tested it all out over Memorial Weekend and I am good to go. I did not get to do any tests on Fantasmic so I am a bit freaked about that. I have not seen that show in years and I so want to get decent pictures!:
I'm sure it will turn out perfectly!
Well, that's all for now. Just wanted to keep my PTR going. Anyone out there or did ya'll leave me? :sad1::sad1:
I'm here too! This PTR is lots of fun! :cheer2:

We have a discount no frill drug store that has everything cheap, cheap, cheap. In fact they also now and then have Disney stuff that is really super discounted. An example would be the yard art that I got recently. Saw it on DisneyShopping for $39.99 and I got it for $6.99 in their "close out" section. Exact same thing. I've found some super stuff there.
Yep, you do! ::yes::
I'm sure it will turn out perfectly!
Thanks!
I'm here too! This PTR is lots of fun! :cheer2:
Yay for staying with me! :dance3:
Thanks for sticking with me guys! I still don't know if I trust the park hours until they are posted on Disney's site. :confused3 This whole Fantasmic thing is a disaster if you ask me. I think that the people with the dining packages need their own entrances. I hate that they changed that!
Beka, come check out my TR from Memorial Weekend. I have a link below. ;)

So, I have some pretty craptastic news to share with my DIS friends.
DH got laid off on Tuesday. :sad1:
We talked a lot about what to do with the trip. Do we cancel? Do we go? We decided that we would lose too much money if we canceled so we are going to go. :woohoo: While I am excited about this, I am mega depressed that I had to change a few things.
First, no 2 TS meals so that we can stretch the dining plan. :sad2:
Second, and this REALLY bums me out big time........NO CRUISE and NO CAKE!!!!!!!!!! :sad1::sad1::sad1: I just cannot justify spending the money right now.
So, I am in a deep Disney depression right now. I know that I should be happy but I have been fortunate all these nears to not have to do Disney on a budget....until now. :sad1::sad1:
I guess I should be happy that we are still able to go. I'm having quite the difficult time getting back into my planning so to speak. I guess I am just worried about the unknown right now.
On bright note...DH applied for a few jobs today and has had a response from one of them already. I am crossing my fingers.
I will finish my May TR this weekend and then try and get back into my planning for this PTR.
I feel like a stick in the mud right now.:sad1:

I have gotten over DH"s layoff and realized that we're lucky that we can keep our trip and that we don't have to cancel. We're going to keep the photo shoot as well since I alreaedy pre-paid for the photopass CD.
There are two ADR's that for right now, we don't think that we will keep. They are CRT and HDDMR. They each take 2 credits and we figured we could stretch the dining plan further if we didn't do them. I am bummed though because one is for John's birthday and we really wanted to celebrate with Jenn, John and the kids. :sad1: I am hoping that our situation changes and that we will be able to keep them.
I am really, really hoping that I can keep the Wishes cruise surprise for our anniversary. If DH goes back to work, it is a go. I have to check the cancellation policy to see how long I have to cancel. I think it's two days but I will know for sure before we even leave.
I may work on our shirts this weekend. I have everything to do them and it's just a matter of dragging the stuff out and getting it done. I need a bit of motivation!

One piece of advice.......the dark transfers are AWFUL to deal with. NEVER again. We had to finally get Joe to help us. :scared1:
So, what do you think? I got most of these from the DISign thread and tweaked some of them myself.

Yes, it is a Disney room. Three red walls, one yellow, white ceiling and black accents. Sounds awful when you describe it that way but I will try and take and post some pics for you. Walls are covered with either pics from Disney, Happiest Celebration Certificates or Disney Lithos. Once I get my junk in order, I will take and post pics. :rolleyes1

We are also from Ohio---Cleveland Heights specifically. My sis in law is in your neck of the woods--Westlake. She is coming to Disney with us, I think. She always books at the last minute. We are also from Ohio---Cleveland Heights specifically. My sis in law is in your neck of the woods--Westlake. She is coming to Disney with us, I think. She always books at the last minute. I book all of her ADRs when I do mine because we have been messed up by her ill preparedness too many times before!
Happy Trip Planning!
Welcome! Nice to have you. Seems we're neighbors! Will our trips cross dates at all or will you be back by the time we arrive on the 12th?
My DH would go nuts I think if I brought more Mickey into the house. :rolleyes1 He's already in the yard now too.

Ahh I haven't been over here in forever, I'm sorry!! I can't believe the CM told you that Chef Mickey's is one of the hardest to get reservations for! I never particularly liked the food, but I guess it is a great way to get photos with all the "main characters" and not have to wait in line in the parks! Is there a menu up for Kouzzina yet? It sounds like it's going to be a good place to eat. I am obsessed with Disney cakes! I stare at all the photos on the cake thread and want one so bad, so I can't wait to see yours!! Love your Disney room!! I havent been on boards much lately but hoping to get back into it.. As you know my grandmother and uncle recently passed away.. and then my mom had a stroke a few weeks ago.. the drs think it was so many things that lead up to it, but definitely think the stress of my grandmom and uncle brought it on.. thankfully she is recovering, but as you can imagine with everything else going on.. its quite busy..
I tried finding my TR so I could resume and having troubles locating it so I will look for it.. Keep your eye out for my update!
I havent finished reading all your posts here as I decided to start with the newest and going backwards till I get back to where I left off last.. I like to do that when I read books too! :rotfl: I always know the ending in the beginning.. I cant help myself..

I have been MIA from the Dis for a while so I don't know if Kouzzina has opened yet or not. :confused3. Still not sure what I am going to do about the cake situation. I think if I end up canceling the Wishes cruise that I am going to at least get the cake! I want a two tier white cake with amaretto filling, butter cream frosting and white fondant. I want the little stamped mickey heads on it too. I think I want the gold ones.
I can't believe I missed Eddie last time. :confused3 Thanks for the recommendation on the lighthouse sandwich. I am anxious to try it. Love BOMA, even if they don't have zebra domes at breakfast.
I am a little nervous about the pepper market but we are gonna give it a try. Tusker is by far our favorite breakfast. I think CM is so hard to get because it is a character b-fast and it's only 1 TS. Who knows though?
Have not done the American Idol thing. We watch the show but for some reason I have never gone over there yet.
I hope Joe finds something soon. We could probably keep all of our ADR's but I would feel so much better about it if he were back to work. What kills me though is IF he gets a job and it is really close to vacation time....will they let him take it off? Ugh, this is stressful.
There are a lot of T-shirt threads. I'm really not sure which one I got some of the stuff off of. I did the stick figure ones myself with art work that one DISigner had on her photobucket page. Dang, I just can't remember.
Had how can you not like cats! :scared1: I love my kitties. They are my little fur babies. :goodvibes

We don't have kids but every year we pull my nephew out of school. Been doing it since he was in kindergarten. Last year though we had issues which is why my sister decided that she is not going to come with us this year. I am sad about that but she said that next year when we renew our vows she will pull him out of school.

Time for an update!
So my Facebook status says that I plan to do a whole lot of nothing this weekend. Well, I decided that I may as well get back to my Disney planning instead of sitting around and watching all of season 4 of One Tree Hill. :goodvibes
Two things were accomplished so far........
1. Trip is paid off! :goodvibes
2. I started a stack of "outfits" for Disney and I put them on the shelf in my closet. :rolleyes1 Yep, I tried them on. Depressing as it can be that I did not lose the weight that I had hoped for. I guess I can still try though.
I am also going to tackle scrapbooking my window decorations this weekend. At first I was going to buy some and then I figured I may as well put all this scrapping equipment that I have to some use. I got colored markers for the cruicut so I am going to see what I can come up with with the cartridges that I have. I think I have 5 or 6 Disney cartridges so I hopefully will come up with something.
I also plan to call Disney and cancel the duplicate ADR's that Jenn and I both made. Yikes, I need to do that right away so someone else can get them. I have to make that a priority.
Mom Update
Well my mom is freaking about this trip right now. She is having serious issues with her ear. So bad that it has sent her to the doctor a handful of times and to the ER once. :sad2: On Monday she's going to see an ENT and we hope that this will resolve it once and for all. As of right now she is not allowed to fly and it is totally freaking her out! :scared1: I am crossing my fingers that it gets better.
DH Update
DH is still looking for a job. Has another interview on Tuesday so that's a good thing.
Life Update
Work is crazy busy for me. I just hired a new team and we're going through transition now. I'm working many, many hours these days and don't get paid over time but I am thankful for a job. I just got back from a business trip to the DC area. It's beautiful there and I really want to some day take a monument tour. DH's great grandfather has a painting hanging in the Smithsonian so it's always nice to be able to see that....especially since it was hanging in DH's dining room as a child. :thumbsup2
So that's it for now. I will post any window decorations that I come up with!

Hi Beka,
I have to look up the name of the painting. It's strange though because they have some stupid name attached to it which wasn't what the family called it at all. We got a private viewing of it last year which sounds ridiculous seeing as it was hanging in Joe's house as a kid. Joe told the curator a TON about the picture and it has a mate out there somewhere. They were very nice to us but Joe really wanted to touch it and they would not let him. :sad2: They had taken it to the storage facility in Maryland when we saw it. I'll post a link on my FB page.
The cruicut is pretty awesome but I have to admit that I probably don't know a third of what it can actually do. :rolleyes1

So here it is 6:05 am and I should be getting ready to leave for work. I am jam packed busy but I am sitting here waiting for the vet to open or deciding if I am just going to drive to the animal emergency hospital. My kittie Dino is not well at all. :sad1: My cats are my children and I am totally freaking out. When I got home yesterday he looked bloated and his belly was hard. I called the vet and they said that maybe he has to go potty but to make an appointment for today. Originally Joe was gonna take him today but I did not sleep at all last night and Dino is just not himself so I an going to call the second they open and see if I can take him right up. Financially this isn't a great time but I will do everything in my power to make sure he is well.

Thanks for your prayers and hugs. We lost Dino yesterday on the operating table. He had cancer throughout all of his organs. Doctor didn't know how he wasn't in pain for months. I have no clue how to cope with this loss. It is incredible for me and for my husband. We could not have children. Our cats are our children. This is beyond horrible. I lost my pup over a year ago..........I was really upset, I couldn't believe the pain you could feel................the pain doesn't lessen, you just learn to live with the loss and remember the good times........we did end up getting another dog eventually because our other s h i t zu was so accustomed to having a friend why we were at work, it did help because I think raising a new puppy occupies your mind but you never ever forget a loss, wether it be a family member or a pet!:cloud9::grouphug: The days to get better and you will be able to think about Dino without crying, TRUST ME! For now, cry, cry, cry whenever you want...........but life has a wierd way of always moving on!!

Thank you so much for your message. This is unreal for me. I have lost pets before but that was years ago when I lived with my mom. Seems that this was harder and I think it is because I had the full responsibility for Dino (as well as my other cats). Not sure why but this is incredibly hard.

Life Update
After losing Dino :sad1:, which I still think about 24/7, I've been trying to dump myself into Disney planning. :surfweb:
Work is insane these days which leaves me little time to do anything. :sad2:
Joe had an interview the other day and they told him that they are recommending to HR that they make him an offer. Is it his ideal job? no. Are they going to let him take off to go to Disney? Yes. Is it close to home? No. However.............. he has another interview at a law firm that is down the street from where I work. Keep your fingers crossed......... It SOUNDS like he has one offer coming (they said it will take two weeks) and I am hoping he gets an offer from the law firm, but who knows.:rolleyes1
Also, we had a nice little treat of 3 additional weeks of salary for him that we were not expecting. It seems that his former employer is paying him longer than we had originally thought. How I missed that being in HR myself I will never know....but like I said, work is insane for me and I'm just not myself these days.
Trip Update
I spent last night updating the infamous binder. Stupid morons at Continental keep changing our flights. Jerks cut about 8 hours off of our vacation so far.
I also updated my special little spreadsheet showing all of our ADR's, etc. and that will get laminated as we get closer to departure.
I have planning sheets for each day that also have lines for my notes for my TR. Those were updated as well.
I got all of my Disney Dollars together. Have them spread out all over the place. Seems we have $571 so far. :rolleyes1 :upsidedow Today I am going to the bank to get cash for my tip envelopes (estimates, of course) and for our OOP food expenses. I want to get that done and just have it ready to go. Not that it is a large sum but I figure the more I can get together and ready to go, the better.
I have a shelf in my closet collecting stuff to pack. The shirts that mom and I made are there, along with capri's, shorts, etc. I have around 5 pair of shoes that I want to take and it looks like we'll be checking 4 bags....cha-ching for Continental on the bag fees. jerks........
I've got my stuff to ship ahead ready to go. Just have to go to UPS and send the stuff a week before we leave.
I've managed to squirrel away enough for the Wishes Cruise and the cake so that's definitely a GO now! :woohoo::woohoo: I plan to call next week (at the 30 day mark) to order the cake. I don't think I can do that now.
Gotta make the ressie for the photo shoot next week too. I did the pre-pay CD so that's ready too. Printed the confirmation and it's in my trusty old binder already.
Got my cat sitter(s) ready to roll. My sister and my nephew are taking care of the for me. :cloud9:
So, what am I forgetting???????
:idea:Oh yeah.....I still have to scrapbook stuff for the window. I am also taking a strand of lights. Can't recall how far the nearest outlet is so I will probably pack an extension cord as well. If I think of it I will take Halloween lights too.
That's about it for now. Let me know what I am missing!

So it's 6 a.m. here on a Sunday and I have been up for an hour. :confused3 Figured that I'd put the quiet time to good use and I am pouring over menus and stuffing our tip envelopes. I won't close them though unless they are tips for buffets. I go a straight 20% on those. Seems that the service is usually consistent and I tend not to go over 20% on the buffets. :confused3 Hmm, maybe I won't close any of them...just in case.
The teller at the bank was funny. She saw me reading off of my note as to how many 1's, 5's, 10's, 20's that I needed and wanted to see the note. I felt funny handing it over to her.....not sure it didn't look like some monkey business was going on at the bank. I hate when I am at the bank and people are handing over notes. My friend was a bank teller and was robbed once. Ever since I heard that story I freak over notes at the bank. Yeah, I'm a dork..........
ANYWHOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, I explained to her what I was doing with the loot and she asked about Disney and our frequent visits, etc...just making conversation, you know? The teller next to her says "oh, you go alot." Joe replies that we do a couple times a year or so and that we have AP's so it is less expensive, etc. To which she replies "where do you get those from?" To which I wanted to reply "Wal-mart" but I didn't. OMG people, she was an airhead like non-other. The questions she asked were insane. :rolleyes1
Ok, back to the envelopes........ So as I sit here doing this I am thinking about the boat captain for our little Wishes Cruise that I decided I am DEFINITELY keeping. What do I tip him? Do I tip him? Do I tip the cake delivery person? Can I get the cake delivered right to the boat now since we are leaving out of the GF Marina? Will I see the cake delivery person? Ugh. It's not like I won't have extra loot on me but I would still like to plan as best I can this trip. ;)
I am going to call the GF Bakery today and see if it is too early to order. My stupid luck it will be too late and I'll cry. I'd like to get that set up now and done. I can't make any calls from work lately which makes it hard if I can't call til 30 days out.
Ok, back to my menus now. Trying to decide what to get at Chef's de France. Can't even mention this to Joe because all I get back is "how the hell do I know what I want to eat for dinner let alone on a specific date and time."

I do 18% at the buffets... we will be at alot of them.. will that be weird to have 2 separate envelopes?

I can def give you money towards the tip! If you will let me.. I know you get weird about that kinda stuff!Idk if you tip the cake person.. I'm sick over tehse tips already.I would give him a $5 or something. I would call again and ask where the cake will be delivered to. OMG, I love that this is going to be a surprise to my family as well! They are gonna crap themselves! BTW, do you knnow HOW HARD and Terrible I am at keeping secrets? I have almost slipped like 90 times. Let's hope I don't screw up now!

I've been reading, but posting has eluded me... Sorry :guilty:
You're so organized! :worship: I don't know what to do about tips. We may just use the boys' cards for the dining credits and one of our cards for the tips kwim? We did buy some US$ cash recently, so could use that sometimes too. 20% is usually what we tip too, but an inattentive server will not be getting that from Grumpy LOL
I would've felt funny handing over a note to the teller too - I'd be wondering what would happen kwim? :scared1: LOL People don't know what they don't know - don't sweat it LOL Oh, for the record, I would have LMAO if you'd said "Wal-Mart" to her!
Sorry, I have no clue on the Wishes tips, but I'm sure that the bakery would be able to tell you what the norm is :thumbsup2
Ooooh, Chefs de France  I seriously CANNOT wait for that meal! Grumpy said the same thing Joe said - and Grumpy LIVES for French food :lmao: I think I might have the 3-course dinner, but I'm not sure

I was looking at the 3 course meal at Chef's too. Not sure what we will do and Joe is NO help when it comes to pre-planning meals. One good thing is that I get to pick whatever I want. :rolleyes1
Not sure what to do on Wishes tips either. Do we use the same 20%? If so, I am not sure I can afford to tip the captain $60 bucks!
I came so close to telling the bank teller "Wal Mart" just to see if I got a reaction out of her. My guess, probably not. ;)
I've never put gratuity on a KTTW card before. We normally just use cash so I would be interested to see how that works.

I ordered the surprise cake today for our anniversary Wishes Cruise. Joe knows nothing about the cake and nothing about the Cruise so I sure am hoping that he isn't planning any surprises that day. He is famous for doing so and now I worry that we may have both made "secret plans." I have to figure out a way to find out......not that I want to know WHAT the plan may be, but I am worried that we both did something for the same day, same time.
This is what I ended up with:
10 inch bottom
8 inch top
almond cake
amaretto butter cream center
fondant over the cake
silver mickey's all over
silver bow on top --- didn't want a chocolate castle -- I am one of the few that think that they are tacky :guilty:
$150 delivered to the boat dock
I got the 10 and 8 because I figured we'd all snack on it for that second half of our vacation. Let's hope I remember to pack saran wrap and DH doesn't see it. He will think I am nuts!

So.......who is up for more CRAPTASTIC news???????????
My mom is not feeling well. :( I am worried. She is going to the hospital for testing next Wednesday. They could not take her any earlier. Doctor said even if surgery is involved that she still MAY be able to go on our trip.
I just don't know what to do now. I am worried and if she is having surgery I hate to be away but she says that we still need to go even if she can't. :( I am so hoping that it is not what they think it is.

First, many prayers and pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust: that mom is okay. Please keep us posted.
We had a similar situation last year. My dad was in the hospital/nursing home/hospital for seven months before our trip. We knew that he wasn't going to be with us much longer after he went back to the nursing home. The last time he was able to talk to me he said to me that he wanted Mark and I to go on our trip no matter what and to celebrate our 25 years of marriage because a lot of people didn't make it to that milestone in today's world. Two days after dad asked us to do this, he was taken back to the hospital and we lost him three days later. We left for Disney a week after that. NOW THIS IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN TO YOUR MOM. But as much as I didn't want to go, I did so because dad asked me to and I know that he was smiling down from above pleased that I had done what he asked. It was a difficult trip, but I also knew that it is what he wanted. So if your mom should need surgery and insists you still go, I think you should follow her wishes. In the end it is up to you, but she wouldn't tell you to go if she didn't want you to. I'm here if you just need to talk.

Thanks. Well, listen to what my sis and I did on Friday. I was so bothered by the additional symptoms that my sis was telling me that mom had, that I decided that she and I both needed to leave work (we work at the same place) and try and convince my mom to go to the ER. It would mean that whatever it is that she has would get a six day jump on treatment since her appt is not until next week.
SHE REFUSED TO GO! :scared1: I was so darn upset on Friday. She claimed that she is "feeling better." So now we will see what happens on Wednesday. Either way, if she has surgery I doubt she will be able to go on the trip since there won't be enough recovery time. :sad2: I feel bad about that but since she wouldn't go to the ER on Friday when she should have, I don't know what to do.
So, cross your fingers that all is fine on Wednesday.........

So I was sitting on the DIS yesterday reading about what people do to decorate their rooms/windows. I borrowed a fabulous idea. How about I make my own vinyl clings???:idea::idea::idea:
So, I read that I could get 10 sheets of 8x11 vinyl cling paper (if you can call it paper) from Office Max. We went there and guess what? No one knew what I was talking about....at first. They sent us next door to whatever that printing place is that they have in the store and some dude said yeah, he had them, but only for LASER jet printers! :scared1: While I could have taken them to work, I don't do that. I don't like to use work stuff (even when I ask) for personal things. The guy said for the low, low price (he didn't say that) of $2.49 a sheet, they could print them for me if I had a pdf file. Yeah, I'll do that....then Joe decided to check out how much a laser printer was. Mind you, we HAVE one...but it is broken. We also have a color ink jet and a special photo printer so I was not keen on getting another printer.......until I saw the price. Get this, HP Laser Jet for $100! Can you imagine? :rolleyes1
All I really wanted to do was to print a couple of vinyl clings for our window and we came home with a laser printer. My God people, let's hope I come up with something to print or Joe is gonna go NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!:laughing:

And I can't believe that I totally FORGOT to call about our photo shoot sitting! I should have done that 30 days out! AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH, I hope that I can call today and get it scheduled. DUH........
Speaking of photo shoot, I was talking to a fellow DISer on Facebook last night....and I think she is gonna do a photo shoot too! Yay!
I am really excited about the photo session. I am just crossing my fingers that we have a decent day. We are still struggling with what to wear. I really want to do the matchy-matchy look but so far, it is not working out well for us. Joe's size is hard to find on line and the Disney Store has a whole lotta zip on their site. I am leaning towards either matching ringer T's which I am not fond of to tell you the truth, or polo shirts. Joe already has white ones and blue ones so he is set it we go that route. I have to talk to Jenn though so that we can narrow this down since her family is joining us. OOOhhhh, I can't wait!

I'm back and need to catch up on what I missed! My mom is finally going to book my graduation trip so after I get my dates we need to do a DIS meet so you can show me your binder and I can start mine!! OK now to catch up....
YOU ARE SO ORGANIZED! I can't believe it. I need to study this binder of yours and all the other things you use to help plan the vacation.
Continental Airlines is ridiculous, but my experiences with United and AirTran have been WAY worse. I'm a Southwest girl but I know they don't have direct flights from Cleveland to Orlando anymore (or if they do they aren't often!).
I hate when people ask dumb questions about Disney. Maybe they just seem dumb b/c I know so much now, but sometimes I think they are joking by how ridiculous the things they ask are.
HUGS and prayers that your mom is well enough to travel!

Hope everything is OK with your mum on Wednesday!! How annoying is it when your parents won't take your advice! :headache:
Hope you get your photo shoot sorted today! :thumbsup2

Yay us!!!!!!!!!!!!
I know! Only 24 sleeps left!!!
I was looking at the 3 course meal at Chef's too. Not sure what we will do and Joe is NO help when it comes to pre-planning meals. One good thing is that I get to pick whatever I want. :rolleyes1
Yum! Can't go wrong - whatever we pick, it'll be French food, so it's all good! :cloud9:
Not sure what to do on Wishes tips either. Do we use the same 20%? If so, I am not sure I can afford to tip the captain $60 bucks!
Yikes! That's a heck of a tip!
I came so close to telling the bank teller "Wal Mart" just to see if I got a reaction out of her. My guess, probably not. ;)
Next time, do it. If nothing else, it'll make you laugh :rotfl:
I've never put gratuity on a KTTW card before. We normally just use cash so I would be interested to see how that works.
It worked fine last time. I'm hoping it'll work well this time too :thumbsup2
I was just telling Joe that we tried to text each other to "make sure it works". I think he thought we were nuts!
We HAD to do it! It was critically important! Tell him that
