Anyone use one? I am renting from Walker Mobility and I got the sun canopy. Is it big and cumbersome? Is it easy to remove if I do not want to use it or to take it down when viewing a parade or something?
Any experiences would be appreicated.

I've never used one, but from what I have seen they are a lot more trouble than they are worth.

Alos having the canopy will limit where you can go and remain in the ECV. You will be asked to remove the canopy in shows unless you are seated in the very back row at shows as it will block the view of other guests. Too much of a nuisance IMHO

Thanks for the response. I do not plan on taking it on rides or in shows. I should be able to walk short distances with a cane. I think I will stick with it and if I do not like it I can leave it at the hotel. Was not huge extra expense.

I've been using an ECV for about three years now but I've never used a canopy or even considered one. They look like they would greatly hinder your view and it's difficult enough to avoid hitting someone without the added stress of trying to see around/behind a canopy. Justs looks like a pain to me. YMMV, of course.:)

From what I have seen unless the sun is directly over the top of you, they aren't very helpful.

I had one on a recent trip - I didn't reserve it that way, but that was what they delivered. I tried it for a couple of days, but it was very cumbersome. It really did restrict my view, and made using the busses really tough. It was left at the hotel room after that!
I liked the idea of the shade, but Disney does a good job with ride lines being covered for the most part anyway. It really was onlly helpful getting between attractions - but the reduced visibility cancelled all that out. I am too afraid of running over someone who cuts in front of me anyway - the canopy worsened it.

I've noticed quite a few on our recent trip, but in most cases, the sun was still hitting people.
