My DD is a Cast member and when we went in August we lucked out and she was able to get us the DDP at a discounted rate. We plan on returning in December and I don't need park passes, but would love to get the basic DDP. Is that possible (it's unlikely DD will be able to help out this time)?

The only thing that I heard of was for passholders;
I read something online that they are allowing annual passholders to book rooms with the DDP. I haven't tried it yet, so i don't know how true that is.

But, you can call and ask. :)

I do have an annual pass, but my DH & my dad do not, and dad will be in his own room as well.

ok...

i just found it in disney's site. If you login to the passholder's page on disney's site: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/wdw/passholder/passholdersGate?id=PassholdersGatePage

then you can make reservations and add dining onto the res.

We are renting DVC points in Jan/Feb and we added the DDP during the reservation process. We wil pay for it at check-in.

I thought you had to pay for packages 45 days in advance or if the reservation is closer, in full at booking. We had to when we changed from an AP discounted room to the Disney Visa FD.

Annual pass holders and those staying on DVC points can add DDP without adding passes. They can also pay for the DDP when they check in and can cancel within 48 hours of check in.

Hope that helps someone :)

I just added ddp to my AP reservation for January 2009 and my confirmation requires me to pay in full 45 days prior to checking in.

As a DVC member, you pay for your dining when you check into the resort. DVC members service can not handle financial transactions.

Neither of these reservations require the purchase of a ticket, nor a length of stay requirement.

As an ap member can I add the DDP for myself, DH, and my Dad (who will be in a different room) without buying passes for anyone?

You can add the ddp to everyone in your room no matter what type of ticket they have. The only catch is that some are reporting that you can only book one room per passholder. I don't know if this is true or not, since we are a family of passholders, so it's never an issue with us.

Yes that's true. Only one room per passholder. That's why I'm doubtful I can add my Dad to the DDP (DH & I will be in one room, he in another).

DVC members pay for the plan at checkin.

Everyone else is booking a package and must pay in full prior to checkin.

anyone know if they will let you add the ddp at checkin for an AP reservation?

we have AP reservations now. we may add the dining plan, but not sure yet. So, was wondering if they allow this to be added in at time of check in, or if this has to be done in advance?

anyone know?

AP packages must be payed in full at 45 day mark. You can NOT add it at check in. Must have one AP per room
