Hi there all. My husband and I were looking into getting a prepaid cell phone when we get to WDW. Now that I have done some reserch with a few companies they all require you to have a U.S. address when you activate the service. Has anyone ever purchased a prepaid phone while down in WDW and did not have to have a United States address? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :)

I got a phone with Virgin Mobile. Had it shipped to my hotel. Used the hotel address when activating. Paid with Paypal so no need for a credit card with a US billing address.

I purchased a tracfone from Walmart. It was about $12 plus tx. I didn't need a US address and I have passed the phone around to others going. We plan on using it again this year. The phone we purchased is double minutes for life! If you add a $20 card, then you $40 worth of minute. It is only 1 cent a minute to call to Canada!!!

I purchased one from tracfone as well. No problems at all. They have phones on sale now for like $40 that includes a double minutes for life card (a $50 value). I've been very happy with it!

Thank you to all! For those of you that purchased the Tracfone which is what I was planning on picking up at a Walmart when activating did you just use a resort address like Encinc said?
