We'll be there! My daughter (11) and myself are going on a girls vacation, leaving DH and 15yo son at home. We will be traveling with our girlfriend. This is our 3rd Disney cruise, our friend's 1st cruise with the Disney line. We'll be at the AKL the night before, so we'll catch the bus at the Swan at 12:00. Are there any buses that leave sooner or are those only at the airport?~kris

I have our docs they came yesterday at work I almost kissed the FED EX man!!!! Iam hoping Lilo and Stitch is going to be playing on the ship, it comes out on June 21 that is the day we are at the Bahamas. I hope everyone else will get there docs soon , it is one more day closer!!! I want to start packing my husband thinks Iam nuts. Marla:smooth:

Oh you are making me jealous. I dont think we will get our docs until early next week. We chosse Disney Air so they are to book us tomorrow. I will be calling them tomorrow to find out our flight schedule but hte docs probably wont be here till they print the airline info and mail.

I know its not because we have gone around the 2oth and it is a good time to go! But then again it would be great to be on the ship with just a hand full of people , wishful thinking! You just now started to pack? I dropped off some of my "fun" shirts at the dry cleaners over the weekend. The packing has begun here as well!

Are you guys meeting anywhere on this cruise? We decided to take a taxi/limo back to the airport from Disney World on Thursday to get to the port a little earlier, so we won't be on the resort bus. We plan on going to the deck party, and we have the late dinner seating. On Friday, we're doing the Blue Lagoon/Dolphin experience, shopping in Nassau, the show, dinner, then a taxi to the Atlantis after dinner. (A very full day!) We have a banana boat reservation for Castaway Cay, and I'm hoping we get invited to the Castaway Club get-together with the captain. We attended this last cruise, it was really nice! I'd love to hear everyone's plans.

Dear Kris, We are going to be picked up at the Poly. on Thursday we paid for pick up I think we get picked up at 11:30 or 12:00. This is our 2nd cruise and can you believe this ,we forgot all about the deck party on our 1st cruise! So we DONT plan to miss this one. As farNassau we plan to see Lilo and Stitch if it is playing I looked into the dolphin thing , Iam to cheap for the 4 of us it would cost around $400. I hope you have fun! On Castaway Cay you are going on a banana boat I didnt know about the ban. boat. We stayed in the water almost all day my boys have never seen the ocean . We ate arond 1:00 then back to the water. Iam sorry I CANT type well! And dinner on the ship we have main dinning. 8:30 is to late for us. Then after the cruise we go back to Disney for 4 more days. Marla:smooth:

Your vacation sounds great! Ours is just a girls weekend. My niece and nephew did the dolphin thing in the bahamas and the pictures came out so nice. i don't blame you for being cheap, I'd like to just send my daughter alone and not have to pay for myself, but she wouldn't like that. I was a hairdresser for almost 20 years, then i became a nurse. I miss my days in the beauty shop.

Dear Kris Iam a hair dresser I have a shop in a town called Columbia City IN. I have been doing hair for 21 years that is all I know I like to cook and of course I love Disney!!!! I have some clients that went to FL. over Spring break and swam with the dolphins and they loved it , but they didnt pay as much. Are you counting down the days? Are you packing? Iam not really PACKING Iam laying things out socks underwear swimming suits stuff like that. marla:smooth:

I had a feeling that when I returned from my business trip in Chicago that they would be waitng for me. Looks like everything is in order! Do I really have to wait another 3 weeks? These will be the longest three weeks in the history of my life I think. Except the 3 weeks before I got married. and the 3 weeks before my daughters due date.

The deck party sounds good. I am sure we will be there. I think that our group is planning on wearing the matching shirts I made for everyone on Thursday. So if you see 11 smiling faces in lime green shirts getting on the DCL bus, thats my family!

I believe the deck party is for everyone. There is a Castaway Club member party for returning guests but we wont be allowed to do that as we are virgin cruisers! Although i feel like I have been on the Wonder 10 times before with all the inof I have received on the DIS!

Did you guys get the new Disney Catalog the other day? Lots of Lilo and Stitch clothing and they also have a personalized t-shirt deal for family reunions and stuff. Pretty cool! I made our own months ago.

Did you call to get your shipboard credit?
We all did and were told we will have a $50 credit on the boat. I have heard from others that it is only $25 for the 3 night cruise. How about you guys?

It will be interesting to see if the $50 credit will hold. I hear that they are only giving $25 to the 3 and 4 night cruises and the $50 to the 7 night cruisers. I sure hope it does. That sure will help defray my drink budget ( at least on the first day, he he).

That's pretty cool our boys are around the same ages!! I'm not a disney club member, I'm not sure how that works. We did the land sea vacation in July of 2000(my first time to WDW). We had theabsolute best time ever!!! Everything was perfect.
Wow, Bill. You made your own shirts? Very cool!!! Is everyone doing the early dining, or late? We have early with the show after. I'm packed already!!!
Last time we only had to bring drivers license and birth certificate/social security cards. Do you think with heightened security that is still enough? Is anyone bringing a passport?

Yes, I did make shirts for all 11 of us. Lime Green t-shirts with a logo of Mickey, minnie, Donald, Pluto and goofy on the front with" The Cox Family Disney Vacation June 2002" around the logo. I used "T-shirt Factory" software and ironed them on all 11 shirts! That took some time. We are planning on wearing these shirts on Saturday 15th and again on Thursday 20th (also our 10th wedding anniversary).
We are doing the main dining as well. We figured with the little kids it might work out better.
As far as security, Birth certificate adn Drivers license should be enough. I am bringing my Passport because I have one.

Great! thats what we did. As soon as I got my number i called and had it applied. They did say you need your card to activate the discount upon arrival though. Hope you get it in time.
And no, this will be our first Cruise. My parents have been on many cruises but the rest of us are virgins. But with the wealth of info I have obtained from the DIS, I feel like I have been on the Wonder a dozen times!

NO, I am not taking a jacket for dinner. I am in a suit all day for my job. I am planning on wearing some nice pants and a long sleeve button down shirt. NO jacket, No tie! I am on vacation. I believe I will be in the majority with this dress.
Are we really only days away?? Is anyone else having trouble sleeping?? I get so nervous leading up to big trips like this. I plan and prepare for such a long time and get nervous I will forget something like, oh I don't know, maybe our whole document packages!! YIKES! that would suck!!

What took you so long to book the trip. We booked ours in October of 2000!!!
It has been a long time coming. We also booked Hoop dee do back then as well. We will probably be front and center as early as we booked.
With this rainy weather I sure can't wait to get to the World. My poor daughter is 26 months old and she doesn't have much of a concept of time yet. But she knows we are going to Disney world and to see Mickey Mouse and "Turnarelly's castle". Not sure why she pronounces it like that.
We are all going to have one magical week!

By the way, I just called the Poly and asked the room assignor what we got and he said they have us in 4 rooms on the second floor of the Tahiti building lagoon view. 2 connecting and 1 adjoining and the other 3 doors down. Cant beat that! So far so good!
