Hmmm... they already have the Pride at their terminal on Saturdays. Any mention in the press release where they might be re-deploying the Pride?

Dave -
Here's a link to the News Release:
New Carnival Glory Announcement (http://www.portcanaveral.org/news/press/050202.htm)
The new Carnival Glory is scheduled to begin service at Port Canaveral on July 19, 2003. It doesn't specify where the Carnival Pride will be reassigned to, just that it will get a new Home Port.
It's interesting that the new Carnival Ship is being built by the same company that built the DCL ships, Fincantieri, in Italy.
The ship will be 952 feet long, but it will have 14 decks and 1,475 staterooms and carry 2,974 passengers, a 40% increase over the Carnival Pride, which is only 3 months old.
The article also discusses Carnival's 'Fun Finance Plan' where you can finance a cruise for 'as low as' $28 per month for 24 months, assuming you qualify for their lowest interest rate.
