Question about codes

I tried calling cro and was quoted $243 per night tax included at the BWI using one of the summer codes from mousesavers for a standard room. I thought for a standard room that the rate was $189 per night and with tax added about $209? Why do I keep getting quoted $243? Has anybody else had this experience or can give me some feedback as to why I can't get the lower price? Thanks in advance.:)

No, the "rack rate" for the BWI standard room in the summer (7/4 - 10/2) is $289 plus tax per night. You are getting a discount. :)

Another thought, when are you booking for? If it is before 7/4 that is still regular season and those prices will be higher than what people are getting starting 7/4.
Im booked for 7/3 at the Poly and Ive seen reports of people getting lower rates for 7/4 & beyond using the same code as I am.

Did you actually say that you had a code and that it was such and such. It happened with us that they didnt know that they had the code till she looked

Thank you for your replies!:) CamColt, thank you, it now makes sense to me.
The dates are for Junee 30 - July 4 (checking out on the 4th). So the 243 tax included is the appropriate discount for that time. Thanks everyone!!:)
