Hi hope you are all well. I am going to be staying at the cheyenne for our trip in December and I will have my then 17mth old and husband.
This is our first trip to DLRP with our daughter. And Im wondering what the travel cots are like. Are they very big with a wafer thin mattress ?
As on past trips to Butlins this is what we were given and they dont seem very comfortable.
Many Thanks

We stayed there in June and it was just like a normal travel cot that we got, about a metre long and yes with a very thin board type mattress.

We found the mattress to be thin. We put in the single duvet from the spare bunk bed for our daughter as added padding.

Thats a brilliant tip about the duvet. Because there is no way she will be comfortable on the thin ones. And I wouldnt trust her in a bed yet.

I must admit we recently stayed at the Disneyland Hotel and I was disappointed to find the same type of travel cots there too!! I had been told by someone on here that they have proper wooden cots but it appears not anymore!!

I believe Mothercare do a fold up mattress (about 2" thick) that you can add as a bolster (think Mamas & Papas do one too) - we might buy one as it will come in useful for other travelling too....

They used to have proper wooden cots but that was our first time in 2000 we were at the santa fe .

they're very narrow too. We ended up putting DS in bed with one of us and the other took it in turns to sleep in the bunk beds :)
