Not complaining - but where is this stuff coming from?! lol

Ok so I posted about a week ago that we got a box, no note, from WDW with $50 in products in it. Yesterday, again here comes the UPS man, no note in box, and it contained: a goofy keychain, a beautiful cherry wood mickey 5x7 frame, another art set and an awesome mickey and minnie mantel clock!!! About $100 in total product! Again, no note! So, like I said, not complaining! But where is this stuff coming from? Is it YOAMD stuff and they forgot a note or do resorts send this stuff out to get their upcoming guests excited about their trips? 8 Days and counting! WHOOOHOOOO! Love me some Disney Magic! Kat

Just confused what I did to deserve it! lol Actually I packed up some of the smaller items and Tink will be leaving them throughout the week for the kids... I know it's cheating but I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth and if it saves me from buying some stuff then so be it! WHOOT!

Have I got a plan? Ask my husband.. he says i'm OCD over disney! lol I've got a weekly and daily itineraties.. ADRs.. I've scheduled everything down to potty breaks throughout the day.. lol well not really but pretty darn close! I have to thank all the disney vets on these boards I've learned so many wonderful tips that will add special magic to the trip for my kiddos! Kat

Have you been sending any postcards in? If so, you may have won one of the official YOMD prizes. Does anyone know if they are giving away any of the $500 shopping sprees to people who submit post cards?

Seriously, glad you've got a plan, it can be a bit hit and miss without one.

My top tips would be to take it easy .. you can't do everything at once. Enjoy it and don't get stressed if the rest of your group get grumpy about something. Take a deep breath and remember that as you're staying on resort, you have a little more freedom than those staying off site .. use the EMH's and FP's to your advantage. Regarding FP's, remember that you don't have to return within the 1 hour slot .. any time after the start time is good.

Lastly, take the ferry the first time you go to MK and stand at the front if possible.

We were in Mouseworks at EPCOT on Tuesday and there was girl in front of us who got picked for a $500 spree by the YOAMD crew. DH was like man we missed it by a few people. Lets just say he was quite disappointed. :rotfl: But we did win hats and a lanyard at DTD one day a few weeks ago. I do not know if the $500 spree is post card related too/

I cannot imagine Disney sending those items without some note. When we won the YOAMD, we went to our home resort, and they sent us a gift basket in our room. With a nice congratulations note.

Already asked the hubby and he said no... and I believe him. The items are impersonal and we've gotten a couple of duplicate items - he said if he was going to send me stuff it would be Tink or Goofy and it would be more personal like pjs or a robe and slippers.... hmmm...well I'm not going to worry about it! I'm going to chalk it up to Disney Magic! Kat

If I remember correctly when you are at Dis you can buy things and have them shipped home...correct? Perhaps, someone is buying things on a vacay and Disney is shipping them to the wrong addy. Oye!

If it was from the Dream team, you receive an official letter inside congradulating you. I should know, I won 3 times~~'Ears". Last year I won 2 laynards and ears.

Dumb Question-But if it was shipped UPS, there should be a tracking number on the box, did you track the package & check the origin of the shipment? Should help the mystery a bit.

Nope, never did figure it out. I mean yes there was a return address and it was a Disney address but I haven't compared the addy tosee if its from our resort or what. I've been too busy freaking out because we are leaving in 3 days!!! WHOOO HOOOO!
