That's right, our fair haired party host extraodinaire,
the thread starter beyond compare
is celebrating a birthday today!!

Rosie says he's 86 but I don't think he looks a day over 70.

Bring presents, your presence, food, beverages and entertainment
and let's all wish Wally a Happy Birthday.

I'm ready for the party...

I brought a gift, sorry that the dogs played with it first :guilty:

And even though I am sure he has dozens of these stashed in his closet for when he attends a soiree...

http://i76.photobucket.com/albums/j24/jeanigor/2008_GourmetF.jpg

And I thought I would invite a Chilean friend to entertain...you know I think they were the same thing beneath a grass skirt as they do beneath a kilt.:rolleyes1

rosiep

Mem’ries light the corners of my mind.
Misty water color mem’ries of the way we were.
Scattered pictures of the smiles we left behind.
Smiles we gave to one another for the way we were.

Can it be that it was all so simple then,
Or has time rewritten ev’ry line?

If we had the chance to do it all again,
tell me, Would we? Could we?

Mem’ries may be beautiful, and
yet,What’s too painful to remember
We simply choose to forget.

So it’s the laughter we will remember,
When ever we remember the way we were,
The way we were.

okay - YES- yesterday was my birthday!

I was going to let it slide - but the ROSIE happened.

Thanks so much for the well wishes one and all.

Paul brought me home a box of the artisan chocolates - some very exotic flavors - and a big bunch of my favorite flowers - casablanca lilies.

Saturday a bunch of us go out to our Fall Birthday Dinner -
We group up the birthdays by season cause it was getting kinda nutz (we'd have a birthday dinner ever other week it seemed). We all go out a spend way to much on dinner and drinks at some fancy schmancy place.
Birthday boys get a "free ride" of course.

Paul and I have this nice WDW land/sea thing coming up -
so we decided to have that be our big birthday gift to each other.

Thanks again guys!:flower3:
28's going to be tough to deal with...:rolleyes1

Are you two calling me old? :scared1:

I actually am 28! Stop trying to be me! (the world really can only handle one after all)

I have the birth certificate and license nearby (tucked in neatly with my passport and cruise docs) to prove it!

Thanks - and fine about the age thing.
It's not really hide it though - I just don't think it's that pertinent -
And people make such sweeping assumption based on that info- and often incorrect ones.

I mean we know Mike's an addle minded old biddy - does it really matter how old he is as well?
No. We tolerate his ranting all the same. :flower3:

You know Wally, in all honesty, when people ask me how old I am, I usually have to think about it for a second, sometimes even do a little math....honestly!

Age is really a non issue with me, although I admit, the last one kind of pissed me off a little! And it wasn't even one of those that end in a 0 or a 5!
