Those are SO stinkin' cute! Have you tried to travel with them? I want to make some for our trip (in 10 days!), but I wasn't sure if I could travel with them w/o smushing them beyond recognition.
TIA!

We haven't traveled with them yet. I did put them into a small box and hope they will make it there in one piece. I will bring my tape and glue stick with me just in case. We are traveling by car, so I think they will be ok.:)

See, we're flying. I can't protect them. :sad2:
I think I'm going to make a few, and then I'll see if I think they'll hold up.

Why don't you just print them, cut them and then take the items you will need to assemble them once you get there?

I thought about that, but we have 5 kids going with us, and if I did one or two for each child per day, I'm afraid that is going to take a lot of time, and I'd rather not spend all that time working on them while I'm in The World! :)
I'm thinking about taking them assembled but without the heads, and then just put the heads on when we get there. That shouldn't take too long, right? Does that sound like a good plan? That way, even if a few feet fell off, I can stick them back on fairly quickly.
That leads me to my next question, what did you use to attach the heads and feet? Glue? Double-sided tape?

I used light cardstock with double sided tape and a glue stick. I mostly used the tape for the "body", and glue for the head and the feet. I suppose if you only want to use one or the other though, your best bet would be to use tape for all of it, it will hold more securely. As you can see I also put the heads of the characters on different places on the body. If you were to tape most of the head flat on the top for traveling, you could curl the rest of the head up a little when you get there. This might save you some time. Good luck, it was really fun making them!

That's a great tip! I think I'll try to make a few this weekend.

Hi!
Basically, any chuck/cube candy that's about 1-inch wide and 1/2-inch tall (2.54 cm wide and 1.27 cm tall) will work for the characters.
Another DISer (Zeebs from Hertfordshire, UK) said that she used Roses Chocolates and here are her results:
