How long was your acutal ceremony?

I ask because I know there is only an hour for everything. I was told that most ceremonies only last about 15 minutes, but we are having a very religious one, with our priest flying in from Maryland and it will be a lot longer than that! I don't care much about the "reception" anyway. We plan to just have a toast and box the cake up for after dinner.

Our ceremony was only about 20 minutes. We had a sand ceremony, a singer who performed one song, and a regular Christian ceremony including several scripture readings. I was surprised how short it turned out to be :goodvibes

Ours was like 10-15 min. If your ceremony will take 30 mins don't worry about it. Do what you want.

Yes, I wouldn't worry about it - Disney is not going to pull the plug on your wedding just because your ceremony was longer than 15 minutes!

We also flew in our own officiant and had a fairly substantial ceremony. It lasted about 30 minutes, from processional to recessional. :)

Ours was about 20-30 mintues. We also brought in our pastor and had a christian ceremony. My BEO says we had the WP from 11:30-1:00 and our ceremony was at noon. You will have plenty of time.

We are flying in our minister for our Chrisitan service but I don't know how long it will be yet. I think he said around 20 mins or so depending on how much we want to put in it.

30 seconds for the "I love you and will try to put up with you as long as I can" .... then 4 minutes of dreamy romantic movie kiss. (Seriously, we're practicing, but he keeps dropping me!) :laughing:

I think mine was about 20 minutes. As a guest at a wedding I'm generally good for up to about 45 minutes before I start to fidget... My best friend's Hindu wedding ceremony was 4 hours long. 4 HOURS!! I love her, but dear heavens that was BORING!

I think you should do what you want. It all depends on what you have planned. Ours is going to be at least one hour...I definitely want to get my money's worth :rotfl:
