Excursions for beginners??

My fiance and I would like to try the Shipwreck cove snorkling on St Maarten & the Kayak tour in St Thomas...however we are beginners to both, but can swim well!! Are these okay for beginners??:jester:

I haven't done these excursions specifically but generally ANY of the excursions are fine for beginners, except for those that require special certfication, such as scuba excursions.
