Just been quoted £172.40 for the Davy Crockett Ranch, £202.80 for the Santa Fe or £228.40 for the Cheyenne Hotel for 12-14th December 2008.

Very, very tempted to go for it!

Go for it, you only live once! :)

I wish I could afford another trip, but unfortunately can't afford it at the mo!

Let us know what you decide.

The above prices are total for 2 adults and a baby, including a travel cot. Based on room only (no travel or park tickets) including my Dream Pass Discount.

I believe that the proper price for 2 Adults and a baby for the Santa Fe was £370.00 (not including travel)

I'm very tempted to stay at the Davy Crockett Ranch as we'd be driving there anyway and it's my fav hotel. Haven't been there since the late 1990's when they stopped the free bus service from there to the Parks.

I thought you might want to do something like that! I would go for Davy Crockett because you have more space. But, remember it will be VERY cold. Plus, with a new arrival coming in Feb, it would be nice for Kacee to have another holiday with just the 2 of you before then. Let us know what you decide.

Do it! I would go Davy Crockett because your wife will be about 7 months pregnant - am I right? That way you she won't have to walk back to the hotel after a long day or face the scrum on the shuttle bus. From reading these boards, it seems you can park at HNY - I could be wrong, but that sounds preferable to me. DLRP at Christmas....how exciting.:)

Same here, otherwise I'd jump at the quote for Davy Crockett Ranch :)

I'd go for it too - the beauty with Kacee is you can still wrap him up in his pushchair if it's very cold :goodvibes

I must admit I've priced Christmas (but we can't fit it in with DD1's preschool stuff going on) and also early Jan (just before the Christmas stuff finishes) and the latter is looking good hotel pricewise (DLH). The real issue is I just don't think I can get it all organised in time (it nearly finished me off packing and then unpacking at the other end as I'm not getting much rest or sleep at the mo with my 5 month old!!) which is a shame. I'm still going to keep Jan on the back burner and see how I feel nearer the time. If not, then we are definately going to book for end April 09 when the new prices come out as we'll go for our DDs birthdays (DD1 is 4 years end April and DD2 is 1 early May!).

I'd love to go for the Christmas period and by next year DD1 will be at school proper so it limits us even more :( Will it be v busy then though as aren't some of the schools off by then?

As you can see, I can't make a decision for the life of me, but if I were you I'd go for it :lmao: :santa:

:goodvibes Patsy I was planning on late April as thats DD's birthday, but the French schools (Paris zone included) have their spring holidays right up to the beginning of May, so I'm looking at mid-May now (and Labour day is around the 8th May next year also, so I'm guessing that would be a busy week too).

As I don't do queues, I'm not doing English or French school holidays if I can possibly help it ;)

Oooh thanks Elaine :thumbsup2 What a shame - DD2's First bday is 9th May. I was going to 'do my homework' on school hols before I booked so thanks for that. Hmmm not sure about dates then... Don't want to do it after her birthday really - was hoping just before to tie in with DD1's (23 April).

Sorry to Cap'n'Jack for hijacking the thread :rolleyes1

I'd go for it too!! :thumbsup2 I'd go for Cheyenne though as I'd prefer to be on-site.. but then again, you'll have the car. So no worries about walking back at the end of the day. Will your wife be up for those long walking days though? I remember when I was 7 mths preggers, I just didn't feel like walking around much, but that was probably just me being lazy lol.

As you have the car and your Dream APs already, you could stay offsite and drive into the HNY each day, still use EMH etc, all the perks without having to pay around £100 (or more) a night for your room :goodvibes

Sounds like you have yourself convinced there cap'n'jack :rotfl2:

Sounds good then, you should def go for it! DCR looks cool... I think if your driving anyway and can park at HNY like the last trip it sounds great... plus its the cheapest :thumbsup2

I would definately go for it. What great prices. I bought dream passes last week do you have to phone them to get disounts on accommodation? ( I was so excited to get the passes I forgot to ask any questions!)

Yep, just call the normal brochure booking number 08448 008 111, and ask the CM about room only prices for your preferred dates, and your preferred hotel(s), with your Dream pass.

Unfortunatly I don't think it's going ahead now, the Mrs isn't convinced that she will be able to do DLRP when 7 months pregnant and she is worried about spending that much money before Christmas.

I'll try harder to convince her tonight though :goodvibes

Good luck. Or you could go on your own with Kacee. I sent my DH off with my DD1 (although she was 4 & easier than a toddler) when I was 8 1/2 mths pregnant because I couldn't fly.

Awww bless. I must admit I thought about Disney in Jan 08 (when I was around 6.5 months) and we didn't get as we moved house BUT, and I'm being honest here, I was soooo pleased with hindsight that we didn't go in the end as it would have been too much for me personally (esp with having a toddler already IYSWIM).... Having said that, I know myself and know I would have pushed myself too much every day to get loads done - if your wife would maybe take it a bit easy??

I hope you manage to go though even if it's just the two of you :thumbsup2
