I have gotten a photo vest for my upcoming trip. Mainly because I kept getting shoulder and back pain from carrying camera bags. But will I have the added benefit of being able to go through the no bag security lines? The vest has lots of pockets, some of them big enough for my dslr and a couple of lenses. I think I can get every thing I want to carry in the vest. My only problem with it now is that it is a boring basic black. I will have to add some pretty trim I have left over from my costumes. Not lime green though. I got some Mickey heads from Home Depot and I will hang a couple on the zipper pulls and d rings.

Ask over on the photo board. I know some of the DISers there have worn one to the parks before.

It is totally subjective depending on the security cast members. DH has worn a photographer's vest for years -- we call it the park warrior jacket -- it works great! Many times they just let him walkthrough but lots of times they make him stand in bag check. It wouldn't be so bad if they told you that before you stood in line or all said the same thing all of the time.

I wear a travel vest with lots of pockets...carry my phone and small digital camera, as well as notebooks and wallet and tickets in it. I have NEVER been stopped for bag check. I simply stroll past the security guard, say hello, and am on my way.
