I read at some point on these boards that there was some type of dispute about the construction at the Boardwalk Villas, namely some latent defects that WDW had sued the contractor over.

I've tried to find the old thread to no avail. Does anyone know the story behind this, and is this issue completely resolved or still ongoing?

Anywhere to get more information?

It involved the exterior siding of BWV. The contractor paid to replace the siding several years ago and that project has been completed for some time now.

I'm not aware of anything other than the exterior issue.

There were also issues with water pipes that needed redone.

And add in something that's not a construction defect, more like an.... incompatibility to Florida as well. They are almost constantly replacing roofing shingles, I can't remember the last time I stayed there and they didn't have a scaffold up someplace. The type they use to keep the building to theme don't hold up all that well through Florida's constant higher temps.
