we are heading out next week and don't know if we really need to register the 5 x 10 trailer we have to haul our golf cart.

in wisconsin you don't have to because it is under 3,000#'s.

are all your (small) trailers registered with the dmv?

Here in Virginia we have to title all sizes. You can get a permanent trailer tag so you only pay one time and you are good to go.

In florida you have to register your tailer every year. If your state doesn't require it, I don';t think you have to in other states.

Totally agree with DisneyBishops. If your state doesn't require it to be titled and tagged, then don't worry about it. We title all of ours because our state requires it but there are alot in our community who don't worry about the smaller trailers.

Go with Dan!

My trailer is registered, but I have to. Now my license tag is very securely on since I had to pay another $20 to get another one when it blew off!:headache:

In Alabama all small trailers have to have tags, but I know several folks that have more than 1 trailer, and just rotate the tag (not that it's legal, but it's what they do.)

JFYI, I'm not sure what types of trailers it still applies too, but the permanent tag is not available for TTs. I had the permanent tag on my previous TT for like 10 years and when we got our new trailer last year that permanent tag was no longer available for it.

Do we have another sibling team on this board? You can't be. You don't openly squabble like NTSammy5 & I do.:rotfl2:
