I called MS to make a ressie for 1/20-1/30, but the computer would not let the CM to make the ressie for 1/29 or 1/30 even though this is the last day of the month. :(

you have to wait until March - had the same problem one time. So tomorrow you should have no problems at all.

He did say there is lots of availability for that time, so I didn't make any of the 10 night ressie yet. I want a lock-off so I can use the 2BR the first 5 nights when we have guests and the 1BR the last 5 when we are alone.

Same problem here today....I even called back to verify that there is a discrepancy between their computer system and the rules as stated in the Member Guidelines.

I was also told that I will not be able to make ressies for check out on March 1st tomorrow! That I will only be able to make reservations for Jan. 29th. Spoke with 2 different cm's about this.

I'm kind of worried that there may be other cm's reserving through the 31st today and I'll be shut out of my standard view....

Well, I have one of the nights reserved and I was going to have to call back tomorrow anyway.

The thing is that I want this policy in writing....hmmm, maybe I should send off an email. Not that it will make a difference if I am shut out of the standard views....

Lesley,
Sounds like you have been doing the same thing I have this morning. I called twice also, but their computer won't let us do it. I assume that means no one else can either. He did tell me there was lots of avaliablility at OKW for then, so I will take my chances.

I, too, called this morning to reserve for 1/25-1/30/02, 5 nights. Was told by the first girl I couldn't reserve until tomorrow. I proceeded to explain to her that according to the member guidebook I COULD reserve today and gave her the page number I was reading AND read it to her. She said "goodbye" and hung up on me!

I called right back and got Bob, who was wonderful. Wish I had written the girls name down! He said it was a computer thing and to call back tomorrow. Oh well.

I tried to make my reservations today also, checking out on January 31st, and the CM told me the same thing: the computer doesn't even list January 29, 30, & 31 yet.
So I'll be calling again tomorrow!

I had the same problem, I called to make reservations for 1/6/2002 and 1/30/2002 and they could only make the ones for 1/6/2002. I should have known better because I had the same problems last year. They said that I needed to call back on Thursday. I don't think it will be a problem getting the reservations at OKW because it was not very full this past Jan. In the past it was a little more difficult because of the Auto Race. I am glad that they do not have the race anymore, not only because of reservations but because the noise was bad at MK for the week before the race and race day. The Indy type cars do make alot of noise, so much so that you could not hear the music on Main St. at MK.
So much for my Disney Dollars worth. Have fun on your trip and remember that a bad day at WDW is still better than a great day at work.

Renee,
I did the same thing....read straight from the guidebook! lol....maybe it was the same cm I did it to and she was sick of it! No excuse for hanging up on you though...that's just plain rude. I wish you had gotten her name too!

Really, it seems like DVC writes all these rules and ms just does things their own way...frustrating, to say the least. (but lets not get started on the *other* issues!)

And I will admit that I was not as impressed by the friendliness of the cm's today (Wanda and Kathleen)....they were both kind of like "no, that is not how its done" and didn't even seem to commiserate the fact that we are being told one thing and they are being told another, which is what is leading to the problem.

Maybe member services cm's need to read the member guidebook (and so does their computer...lol)

Me too.

And I'm a bit concerned about getting my preference given all this interest!

I think the people who program their computers need to read the quidebook!

Called today (Thursday) and all went fine. CM said they did get the computers reprogramed later in the day yesterday because of all the problems. I am sure they had NUMEROUS complaints! She was very nice today, but it sounded like they had a very stressful day yesterday. :)
