I don't think many couples do engagement pics here in the UK (none of my family or friends have!). Plus, my family weren't happy when we got engaged (that was 4 years ago, they are very happy now, luckily!!). We only had a party because a friend threw a surprise one for us.

I'll be back to post another pic of us together in a mo...

We bought those boxes at the dollar store, and drilled a tiny hole in the plastic slipper to tie onto the outside.

They were filled with different kinds of candy. We also bought tons of candy labels with our names on them from ebay for reall cheap!

Here's our 1st attempt at favors. Since we're doing DCL, we're giving each family a big canvas bag to carry stuff of the ship in. My MIL is making the bags on her embroidery machine. (we're going to go with a darker pink on the letters for attempt #2)

Our main favor at VR for all guests will be personalized lenox Mickey/minnie ears. I am making guests bags(one per family) with lots of stuff including a wish upon a star bottle stopper one per family,1 lanyard with 3 trading pins, and a Disney family vacation beach towel . I also have LED glow necklaces one for everyone and the spinning mickey light one per family for DP party.

I did do it myself. My BFF helped with the 3 curlers in the very back. I have nature on my side, my hair is naturally Curly so I just needed to pop it in the hot rollers for 5 minutes to tame the treases and this is what I got! I am getting married on the cruise and it is also our beach day so I didn't want to pay $100 then go swimming 2 hours later. LOL

Irisbud,you don't have to grow out your layers to get a french twist! I went to beauty school and was a hairstylist for a few years before I went back to school and changed careers... I've done many french twists on girls with layered hair:thumbsup2 It's a very neat, classic look!

We got the shot glasses at discountmugs.com they have a ton of different choices. Delivery was SUPER fast and you do it all online...they have a few disney pictures in stock or you can upload your own. Cam.....We got them from http://www.lilywedding.com/ The were supposed to be strapless, but I asked them at add the straps so the girls could wear thier regular bras. The dresses are HIGH HIGH quaility and all fully lined. They are so nice. The people were easy to deal with, all through email and I had the dresses in 3 or 4 weeks. YOu have lilke 10009 messurments to take so they are all custom made. We fudged a bit on that...LOL Which is why the girls all needed to have the taken in...Bette rin then out though!

I LOVE stephanotis -- they look like little stars to me. I would note that the center of the stephanotis doesn't look like that, though. ;) It is the perfect spot for a tiny pearl or crystal. I'm not sure I've ever seen stephanotis in a bouquet with it's natural center showing.

Just catching up some.... For our reception: we are doing escort cards . Each table will be movie themed: cinderella, POTC, Jungle Book and toy story with movie realted centerpiece and table cards. Guests will receive and escort card attached to a theme related item and tent name card with movie quote inside and then will find their assigned table. for toy story here is the centerpiece and then the escort cards are tied too plastic blocks....you can see the blocks in the front.
cinderella cards will be attached to glass slipper. POTC to pieces of gold, and jungle book to a plastic monkey.

Our centerpieces are going to be Christmas Wreaths with hurrican lamps in the middle and an ivory candle.

We are not having place cards but we are making up 2 parchments that will be labeled "Santa's Song Lists". Each table will be named after a Christmas song:santa:

I have shoes but have desided that I really won't be comfortable! I am going to go with my mother on Thursday to look for "under garments" teehee, and shoes. My first fitting is on Friday! I feel so bridely:bride:

here are some of the shoes i am trying to pick from. They are high heels cause i am under 5' tall and DF is 5'6" so i am trying to make me taller. I would take the shoes off after the ceremony and the first dance.

Here are my shoes!!! I saw pink shoes on the cover of one of the brides mags right after we got engaged and HAD to have pink shoes!! I then found these shoes before I got the dress and had to have them!! They where only $25.00:cool1: :cool1:

Thank you so much! I actually "borrowed" the idea from another Disboard bride (orangetiggs). She didn't end up buying them, but I saw them on her PJ. I had to order them from the UK, because I could NOT find a shop anywhere online in the U.S. that had them. Luckily, I live in Germany, so they could ship to my German address. Bottom line...they CAN be found...but it's not easy. I would google "Diana Hassell bridal shoes" or something like that.

It's hard to pick FG dresses!! I see so many now that i love, but DD is soooo small right now, i'm hoping she'll grow lots in the next 14 months. We probably won't seriously look at dresses for her until next fall.:sad1:

This is my DD's dress....I have bought it already 2 sizes bigger as the store I got it from was discontinuing the style I wanted. I will now have to just make sure I don't fatten her up too much or it won't fit!! :laughing:

It is gold & ivory but the gold looks much more subtle than it does on a pic. It has gold embroidery of butterflies on the bodice.

my future daughter (she prefers not to use the "step" thing unless we are around people who know her mother well out of respect!) is going to be a jr. bm and is wearing the same dress as the bms except no rooshing (sp?) and with straps. She is so excited because her figure wouldn't fit into a jr. bm dress. She is 11 and is blessed with a woman/girl figure God bless her/ God help us!:lmao:
