T-shirt ideas for Grand Gathering

I was thinking about T-shirts for our GG (12/6-12/13; 9 people). Not sure I want to order them from WDW (haven't seen photo). Thinking of making or ordering something custom instead. Would appreciate any ideas.

we have a gg of 13 and are doing shirts for 5 of the days, there are lots of disigns you can do, we didn't have any of them say grand gathering but the disigner could probably make that work if that is what you were looking for and the wording would work with the disign.* we are using lisabell's stick people, taekwondomom's mickey heads, future imagineers have you seen my family that are all personalized then we are using one of donatalie's disigns for epcot and ak and putting it on the same color shirt but not personalized.* hope this gives you some ideas, it will certainly keep you busy.* good luck and have fun!!!

Natalie, I love this one. May I request one for our grand gathering. The name of the gathering will be Kendra's Birthday Celebration. The names in the balloons will be Kendra, Darcy,Jake,Zachary,Keri,Michelle,Kassie,Cheyenne, and Una.

Both of your designs are great!! This one could work for us, since there's 9 of us traveling.

I've never tried to print & iron-on a T-shirt design. We don't have a color printer here, so I usually send print jobs to my local Staples online. I don't know if they'll be able to print an iron-on for me. And I'm sure their computer doesn't have Disney fonts like Waltograph, so don't know if they could print these designs anyway.

Anyone have any tips (or can you direct me to the appropriate thread)?

if you just go to the thread for each of the disigners listed above and either click on there photobucket or just look at their individual posts you will see the disigns they have to offer. if you need more info. then that just post and i will try to give you more info.

I may have to rethink the coffee posse's trip and we may need to wear 1 matching shirt when we go next August:) there was going to be 8 of us, now we are down to 7, so we aren't a grand gathering...however, we will be great once we are there:) Would you do something like, The Coffee Posse Gathering and put our names in the balloons for me? Barb,Carolyn, Colleen( the birthday girl), Jeanne, Jewel, Karen, and Marilyn? Thank you....by the way, I will be down to Smoketown in 2 weeks...for part of the Coffee Posse's shopping excursion....I pray we will have no rain...

I am hoping for some input re what to write on the shirts. Need to give some background 1st. Sorry it's a bit lengthy.

There will be 9 of us on our trip. I will be traveling with DH, DD, DS, my DMom & DDad (who haven't been to WDW in 25 yrs - the only WDW park they've seen is MK), my DSis, DBIL and their 8mo old son (his 1st trip to WDW).

Originally was going to use my parents' last name in the GG title (ie, "____Family Gathering") but that doesn't feel right since my older DSis can't make the trip.

Some more background -- took DL trip with my DMom & DDad, my DSis and DBIL around '92-93. We called ourselves the Griswolds, and we each got Mickey ears with nicknames: DDad was Clark, DMom was ?? (Clark's wife -- can't remember her name at the moment), DSis was Audrey, DBIL (her boyfriend back then) was Rusty, and I got the honor of being Aunt Edna.:rolleyes1

So getting back to the shirts... I was thinking of referring to my parents' 25 yr return and/or to the Griswolds returning to Disney. Whatever I use will be on shirts and on the itineraries, etc that I hand out to them.

During this trip, I have arranged for a surprise for my parents via Gifts of a Lifetime in honor of their 25 yr return visit. Not sure how much to say on t-shirt (don't want to diminish surprise by tipping them off too much).

I am struggling to come up with the right wording & could really use some advice from DISers. We're traveling in 40 days, so I hope someone can help me.
