I was wondering if anyone who's done this excursion could give me a little information. How is the beach there? Is it nice and clean? I've read on these boards about the bad conditions of the public beaches in Nassau, and I wanted to make sure this wasn't one of the nasty ones. I'd like to do the Atlantis, but with 2 kids and 2 adults, that gets a little expensive. I'd appreciate any help I could get!!! :)

Hi demath789
We went to the Blue Lagoon on our first DCL cruise in 2000 and enjoyed it very much. It is a private island without any vendors. The beaches were clean and it was quite lovely there.
We cruised DCL again a week ago and rented a room at Comfort Suites so we could spend the day at Atlantis. The room was $179 - AAA rate. And the taxi ride was $16 each way for the four of us. We had a great time at Atlantis with the aquariums and pools but I think I enjoyed the Blue Lagoon more - we snorkeled in the ocean and lazed around the beach.

Thanks Diz-Me. We're taking our first cruise ever on the Wonder Sept. 5th, and that was the other option I was considering--getting a room at the Comfort Suites. The other question I had (and I should have included this in my original post) was--Is there enough to do at Blue Lagoon so that my DD's ages 3 and 4 won't get bored right away? Thanks again!!
