AKV and VB May 2008 - Day 10

We got up and had breakfast then met DBIL and DSIL down at valet and headed off to Seaworld, we took separate cars knowing we may head off shopping later in the day :woohoo: Arrival was perfectly timed at 9am so we parked and first stop was the sealion pool.

Then we decided that we really should see Clyde and Seamore but we had time to spare so we went and had a look at the penguins. Soon after we were seated at the stadium and waited for the mime artist to appear :rotfl:

As usual he didn’t disappoint and it was then onto the main show. Another highlight is the audience participation or should I say one guest! This time the lucky ‘victim’ was from the UK!! :lmao:

After this we went over to Kraken but DSIL sat this out. We did consider Atlantis but didn’t want to get wet shoes!

It was still only 11am so we went and viewed the manatees.

Before going to see the 11.30am show for Blue Horizons, which was packed.

As we left the stadium it was quite clear where the new roller coaster was going in!

Time was fast approaching lunch so on our way we saw the turtles.

Then the call of food was too great and we ended up at Voyager's Wood Fired Pizza, but the queues were building, thankfully as we got to the head of the main queue the final lines for food opened and we were first along it :thumbsup2

After lunch the obligatory visit to Shamu stadium was planned and we got there with plenty of time, luckily we did as it was packed!

By now it was 2.30pm and our thoughts turned to shopping so we arranged to meet DBIL and DSIL later for dinner and we headed off to the Florida Mall. After a bit of retail therapy, bought a couple of handbags, polo shirts, shorts and Yankee candles, we headed back to AKV to get ready for dinner. We met up with DBIL and DSIL and headed out to Red Lobster. The wait time was non existent and we were soon seated. Nathan and I shared the combo starter of chicken fingers and cheese strips. I then had the salmon and shrimp combo with asparagus.

While Nathan had the full rainbow trout.

I then fancied a little something to finish with and had the key lime pie :)

After this we were rather full and headed back to AKV. This was our restaurant choice and DBIL and DSIL certainly enjoyed it.

Fantastic pics Claire,i love Seaworld.We also love the pizza's at Voyager;s.The mime artist is hilarious.

Great day Claire - can't believe you managed to fit all that in before 2.30!! I'm impressed! :worship:

I love seaworld and usually spend an absolute fortune feeding them sealions.....so much so that last time I was there they gave me a free tray - which is unheard off! :lmao:
