we are heading up to HH this weekend and are wondering if anyone knows if there is a public fishing pier out ON the beach itself, not the one on the resort property. Last time we went up we fished off that pier but the kids want to fish out in the ocean.

also, does anyone know anything about the work out room? times it is open and what type of equipment it has in it.

I don't believe there is a fishing pier over the ocean at the Beach House in HHI. You mught be able to cal member services or HHI directly to get the workout room hours.

There is no fishing pier at the beach house area. I didn't see one either direction down the beach, but I didn't really walk that far, so there may be one somewhere on the ocean side, but I didn't see it.

We will also be there this weekend.The fishing pier isby the resort pool.There is also a place whereyoucan rent canoes and fish

There are many who surf fish right from the beach shore, but there is no pier at the ocean.

I think the Exercise room opens at 7:00am - but that is from memory and not confirmed. It has minimal equipment. Treadmill and weight machine. It's a pretty small facility.

We checkin tomorrow at HH! :)

Surf fishing is a time honored sport here in the Low Country of Georgia and South Carolina. Get you some PVC pipe to stick in the sand and it will hold your rod n reel just nice.

Over here in Savannah we do have a fishing pier out in the ocean. Come on over! Of course it's the Pirate Festival this weekend and the crowds will be nuts.
