Not only have I done it like 4 times. And I'm not a very good packer, although I've managed to pack one box of things so far. And working on a couple more. But who knows when this so called move is going to happen.
So I need some imput because I really don't know where to go.
Kari wants to go back to school to finish, she's only gone for 5 years and never even got an AA, partly because one school wouldn't accept credit for particular classes. But this time she thinks she knows what she wants to do.
She wants to be a math teacher, and maybe down the line tack theatre on to that because that was her home from 7th grade till 12th. So a good school for becoming a teacher is key.
Some place where we can both be covered under her health insurance, and hopefully a family. I know, schools are public, and go with government rulings, but I think for now most allow domestic partnership for insurance. Even orlando just passed it for government workers.
Right now we live about 600 miles from her parents in blairsville, GA. And she'd like to be closer to them, not neighbors, but less than a 10-11hr drive one way. I'm not concerned about my family as they're already strewn across the states, and I'm not particularly close to them.
Don't have to want to pay state taxes, why Tennessee sounds appealing, and a benefit of living in florida as well. Not a huge biggie though.
And definatly not an overgrown concrete forest like Miami and Orlando have turn into.
Ohh and since we're both from Florida, and yes we have spent the occasional winter vacation some place north with snow, It's not something we've ever had to deal with regularly. So even though Wisconsin sounds great with having a lesbian in the superindentants office and stuff like that. :scared: The cold weather definatly doesn't sound appealing.
Any brilliant ideas??
We're thinking maybe one more year here. Although Kari said that if Amendment 2 gets passed, we're leaving.
