I'm sorry guys! Math in general is not my strong suit let alone my Disney math skills!

Friends of ours are coming again (it's been an on again/off again planning phase) and she called me this morning to ask if the dining plan was a benefit for them. Of course my binder's at home so I'm going to have to do more research as to the costs of the meals and such.

They're arriving Sunday morning and staying until Tuesday evening. They will be staying on property. Below are my "scheduled" meals as it stands right now to help determine costs and such.

I would be greatful to ANY help received! :goodvibes :worship: :worship:

Sunday 12/14
CRT breakfast
Plaza Dinner (before MVMCP)

Monday 12/15
Princess breakfast EPCOT
GFC lunch

Tuesday 12/16
1900 PF late breakfast/early lunch (11:10)

TIA for any help as to what would be cheaper-paying OOP or DDP???

I originally designed it for 2007, 2008 and now it's for 2009. The prices per person are a bit higher in 2009, but if you're close then post back here and we can help you through the rest.

Well, two things I see right off the top. First, they are staying for two nights, so they would have only 2TS per person on the regular DDP. You have 6TS listed here which would be way over?? Maybe deluxe would be a better comparison if they want to do all TS?? Second, it is also how they eat that can make a difference if it is a better deal or not. Do they normally eat desserts each meal, etc.?

I don't know that they'll make it for CRT in the morning on Sunday. I also don't know what time they're leaving on Tuesday. Another "problem" (possibly!) will be that maybe for some meals we'll "split up" meaning the guys will go do something else while we're eating with the princesses. If that's the case, the guys would be doing CS more than likely while we're doing TS.

Why does fun have to be this confusing????

Thank you all for your help! I'll keep looking into this! :goodvibes

Now you've got my head spinning!;) I don't know how you are going to really be able to do a good comparison if you don't know all the variables yet!! :confused3 Hope it all works out!:goodvibes

No worries, if you look at the bottom of the spreadsheet it does the math for you. With the plan and without the plan. :goodvibes

Are your friends staying in DVC? If so they are all set. Dining can be added with no minimum stay. If they are booking a MYW package with dining, they need to stay 3 nights to get the dining plan.

Have a great trip!

You can stay for 1 night and get the DDP. Youre thinking of free ddp that requires a 3 night stay

I came across this today! Thanks so much! We plan on doing the dxdp in June. This helps with figuring out if it is a good deal for my family!
