If you had 4 adults and 2 children? The kids ages are 3 and an infant?
Would it be best to get a two-bedroom villa or 2 rooms at a Value resort?
Any thought on the AS Music Family suite?

:cool1: Think the two bedroom villa would be more comfortable, especially with 4 adults !!!!!!

Two bedroom villa. Gives the needed privacy but allows togetherness! We've went with friends and ended up in rooms not close to each other. We now get the 2 BR villa and like that a lot better. If they're not good friends - 2 rooms!pirate:

I would say that depends on your budget.
If you are on a tight one, don't forget the the cabins in the campground. The bedroom has a full bed with two bunks. There is also a full sized pulldown bed in the living room and there is a crib stored in a closet. There is only one bathroom, but if you request a loop like 2100, you have access to a bath house.
We are DVC members and still stay in a cabin every now and then because we just like the change. The campground is very peaceful and scenic. The kids love renting a golf cart. You can take the cart right to the boat dock or bus depots. The camp stores are nice. You can cook and save some money on meals. The Trails End restaurant in the campground is one of the best kept secrets at WDW (IMO)...especially for breakfast.
Just something to think about.

I would go with a Value resort. I always did we have 5 boys. Always had a great time. After all the way I look at it when I'm in Disney I sleep & shower in the room. Out by 7:00 am usually after 10 or 11 at night. So that worked for us great.

I absolutely love The Boardwalk Villas! I love being on the Boardwalk period. There is always something to do along the strip, and you are within walking distance, plus boat, to two parks! Can't beat that! I have never had a bad experience there.

With little ones you'll love having the washer and dryer in the same room, we just start a load and go to the parks or do one before bed. Also you'll love having a full kitchen . :thumbsup2

I would choose the Family Suites.
I love staying at the All Star Music resort.
I love the pool activies and nightly movie they show on a large inflatable screen by the Calypso ( main) pool.
Here is a photo of the sign with posted activities for June 2008:
The Family Suites start at $184 a night duing the 2008 value season.
(FW Cabins run about $70 more a night than a Family Suite. If you rent a golf cart for easier transportation in the FW area than you need to figure about $50 more a day for the golf cart rental)
Most of the Disney resorts (excluding DVC) charge extra for more than 2 adults in a room.
The Family Suites do not charge extra for extra adults.
1-6 adults can stay in the Family Suites for the same et price.
The Family Suites have discounts available also so if you keep your eyes open you just may snag a great deal.
Family Suite info:
DH and I stayed in a Family Suite at All Star Music ( a value resort) in Sept. of 2006.
We really enjoyed the Queen size bed, the kitchenette with the microwave, having a sofa and cushioned chair to sit on and relax after a day at the parks before retiring for the evening.
I thought the pullouts very comfortable.
They are designed so the back cushion and seat cushion of the pullout support the pullout. There is no metal bar to hurt the sleepers back.
Info thread--Pullouts in Family Suites at ASMU with photos of how the pullout is supported.
Here is the layout of the Family Suites:
-Sleep up to 6 (plus one child under age 3 in a Pak-n-Play crib)
-Studio amenities and separate sleeping areas giving more privacy than a standard room.
-Queen bed, full-size pullout sofa, convertible ottoman & chair sleepers
The pullout chair and large ottoman each pull out into standard size twin beds.
(4 separate sleepers)
-Private master bedroom and family room have 27” flat CRT TV and high speed Internet access.
-Kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator (4.3 cu. ft) and coffee pot
Here is my review of the Suites:
