Do you think it would be a real nuisance to spend the day at the Walt Disney Studios but to pop back to the Disneyland park for lunch? Would it take up a lot of time getting there and back?

That wouldn't be a problem as the parks are close together. We swap between the parks a few times each day on some visits.

They are very close to each other - about a 5 minute walk from gate to gate :thumbsup2

I remember the initial entrances to the parks being close together, but isn't it quite a way to the actual ticket entrance thingies of the Disneyland Park?

No it's not that far. You can take a short cut through Fantasia Gardens so you don't have to go through the bag checks again.

Torsie, LOL, sounds good - thank you! I'd never even thought of that :)
Thanks everyone else, too - Fantasia Gardens, hmm, not heard of that (I've been several times before, so I don't know why!!) How does that work then - do you just go through bag checks for one park and then walk through Fantasia Gardens between the two parks as many times as you want?

Oh my goodness, Torsie, you are a GENIUS :cheer2: Thank you SO much!!! Especially love your little hand-drawn Mickey icons :) So are the blue arrows the place where you usually do bag checks then?

Yay!! Torsie, that's a work of art! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2
Tinkjon, we often flit between the two parks, it doesn't take up much time at all.

Thanks everybody. Hmmm, just wondering whether to change my Agrabah Cafe reservation. We are going Monday - Friday and I think we need to do the Studios on Thursday, which is when I have Agrabah booked for. I could change Agrabah to Friday, but it's the one place I'm desperate to try so I'm loathe to change it and then find out it's closed on our last day or something!

Remember that as Agrabah Cafe is a buffet it's up to you how long you spend in there so really depends on whether you are fast eaters or like to linger ....... :goodvibes
I would agree not to miss Agrabah Cafe ~ it was one of the highlights of our last trip. :thumbsup2

As the others have said, it's pretty quick between the parks. We've done that a few times as we've never fancied eating in the restaurants in WDS.

Obviously its only counter service but I really liked the backlot express. Was quiet the day we grabbed a mickey pizza there it was a really lovely place to sit by the window and watch the park go by. :)
I'd also quite like to see Remy in RDS :)
