Right after I took the last picture, it fell about two feet from my bag to the floor. Now when I turn it on the lens goes out, then in, then out, then the screen says turn power off and back on. When I turn the power off, the lens goes in, the half way out, then back in and off. The images already on the memory stick show up on the screen when I review them, but there isn't a current image for me to take a picture of. I really don't know much about the camera. Just how to turn it on and off and review the pics. It's a little over a year old. I got it a year ago on Mother's Day. It was the special light pink camera & carrying bag from Meijer available for Mother's Day.
Any one have any ideas?

Turn your camera on the side and face the top toward you. Tap the camera lightly against a hard surface to see if your lens is out of alignment.
Since your camera lens seems to be working okay, it appears it may be something else, but you can try the above process first, just to check it out.

Also, look for a reset button...most cameras have one hidden somewhere, or some sequence of buttons to hit to reset it. The instruction manual would have it - if you lost or misplaced yours, you should be able to find it on the Sony website. With many Sonys, it's a small inset button on the bottom or in the battery compartment.
If the reset button or tap on the side don't work...you may have knocked something loose inside or bent something. Unfortunately, that might mean a service call or replacement.
Best of luck!

Thanks for the advice. I should have the manual, I just have to find it. Which side do I tap, the right side where I hold it or the left side? Also, I forgot to mention, when I turn it on the screen says ACCESS, before it says to turn the power off and on again.

If you know which side the camera was dropped on, tap the opposite side.
If not, try a small tap on the right side first and see if that corrects it. If not, try the left side.

I just thought I'd let everyone know, I think I fixed my camera problem. I bought a new one today. It was on clearance and it takes the same battery & mem. stick. I could have gotten the same model that I had for a bit less, but I figured if I had to buy a new one I might as well upgrade. It's a Sony Cyber Shot DSC-W80. My old one was a DSC-W55BDL.
