I really feel down - the economic meltdown has been really bad for me from a work perspective - I've been looking at it for a couple of months straight and doing a lot of intense analysis. I work for a large bank in credit risk. It's depressing me and I need a good laugh.

This freakin thing has got a life of its own now. I can hardly wait for my Disney trip in November even though we're not staying at the Fort. That's what I need - Disney Therapy! :cool1:

Hoping things start looking up for you, Al. About the only redeeming feature of beng in Work Comp and liability management is that recessions and downturns only improve the overall job security. People are more likely to sue, or claim WC benefits, when they are worried about their financial future. Just another way that healthcare is about the most contradicting industry out there, in terms of reality vs. ideology.

Enjoy Disney, dude! And have at least one beer, while there, for me!!!

You know, the market doesn't bother me, I moved everything into money markets in September 2007 just before the all time high point! So that was a good decision. The market is down just about 1/3 since then!

My bank is very, very, very strong and I'm probably safe for QUITE a while but it's depressing when I have to study this whole thing 8 hours a day and assess new risk profiles! AAAARRRRRRGGGGGHHHHHHHH! BERNANKE IS SO WEIRD LOOKING TOO!

Could I use a laugh? I don't know - I'm working but the insurance companies are losing money in the market so they stopped paying their bills, my retirement funds are going down the crapper, Washington is full of idiots and two of them are running for president and promising to lower my taxes, but all I can see is I am going to have to pay for corporate bailouts and refinancing subprime mortgage loans. The only good thing is I am shutting down for 2 weeks to go to FW where I won't look at a newspaper or watch a newscast. I guess I'll just sort it all out when I get home.
