I just got done doing the Disney CP back in May. I was told if we wanted to go seasonal, we needed to before we left. I asked a manager if it would benefit me to go seasonal and she said no, so I didn't do it. Well now I wish I had =(. I miss it so much!

I was wondering if there's anyway I can still get a seasonal job. I'm guessing I can't at my location during my CP. I went to Disney's job site but you have to go to Orlando and apply in person. I didn't know if there was another way to go about doing this. I was also wondering what the hour requirements are for seasonal cast members. Thanks for your time!!

If I recall correctly, there is a hiring freeze for non CPs, so the chances of getting back in as seasonal are slim.

Actually my daughter was rehired in Attractions last week so there must be a few openings -- or at least worth checking into.

Well I guess since I'm not physically in FL, I should give them a call? Thanks for that info =).

I think it'll give you a 1-up that you've been emplyowed there recently before. They might even be able to base their decision on your CP interview and the work you did while you were there. Good luck!

I was reading on the college program site if after your CP you want to go seasonal, call the labor line and tell them your availability or something like that. I'm going to try and call tomorrow and ask if that is in fact true because if so, I'd totally want to be back on as Seasonal.

EDIT: I called. No job openings right now. And since I didn't go seasonal after my CP I was taken out of the system and have to go through the application process again, oh well.

I am currently a campus rep and I was wondering how hard it is to transfer down to Disney as part time or seasonal. This won't be happening for another year and I'm sure the hiring freeze will be over by then. But I was just curious...

I spoke with casting this afternoon, and there is not a hiring freeze. I asked the cast member if there was a hiring freeze and she said no, however there are very few positions available at the moment.

Yup. She said she's been telling people to call back every week since they have such limited openings :sad1:.

I would keep checking back and asking about it. Going seasonal after my CP was the best thing I ever did. I love being able to go back and work for Disney. If it is something you want to do never let a manager talk you out of it, as long as you have a good standing with the company and not too many reprimands you would have no problem getting seasonal.

I know a lot of CP Campus Reps that would come back to work as seasonal. The only issue they had was their pay didn't get switched from Rep/CP pay to regular Seasonal...It was really easy for them though. At my location there were always shifts available and people trying to give them away so that made it easier for them to get a shift...

If I get accepted, I plan to go seasonal after my program is up

Our recruiter told us that if we go back as seasonal from campus rep to seasonal work we get the CP rate of pay, not the standard. I think you'd have to go from PT/FT to seasonal to qualify for that differencial of pay
