I'm so confused! I think we maybe have our ADRs for TS restaurants (this is a whole new game for us - we normally just do counter service as we are near something and it looks good, but with the free dining plan, I want to have more of an idea of what options are available). I'm having trouble figuring out which restaurants at which parks are CS options for the DDP credit. We probably won't use the credits at our hotel food court thing (ASMusic, although we'll leave it as an option), so I'd like to plan our other options, probably for lunch while we're in the parks. Is there a place I can find which CS restaurants have options for the DDP? I tried using wdwinfo.com and allears.net, but I wasn't able to find a way to just search CS restaurants (although I easily could have overlooked it!). What options are there? Thank you SO much!!

Well these are our favorites. We are not into a hamburger, chicken strips, and fries all the time. A few times was ok over 10 days, just not everyday. Ok so here it goes

Flame Tree BBQ- AK, great place to eat. Has rotisserie (sp?) chicken, BBQ ribs, salads, pulled pork sandwich, cornbread etc. I have a sensitive stomach at times, so grease sometimes is not the best thing to put down it, and let me tell you nothing here was greasy. It was all great, and on the ddp, They had like chocolate cake and key lime pie etc for dessert. The ribs were great! Sis had the chicken, she liked it, mom had a salad and she also enjoyed it. Dad also had ribs, he enoyed them, lots and lots of food!

Cosmic Rays- this was one of the faster chicken, fries, burgers, but this is the great thing, they have roasted chicken, and salads and ribs, another healthier option. I did have the chicken strips though, it was a splurge day, aha. My mom had a wrap which she really enjoyed, dad had a ribs and chicken plate, sis had a salad, I was the greasy eater, oh well..heheh:cool1:

Studio Catering Company- DHS, ok DHS has a problem with food, it is not a great place for it, now I dunno why, the only good place to eat in my opinion is brown derby but not a CS, and a 2 TS anyway. This place has just nicer options i think, they have wraps which are actuall good, and i believe burgers and salad. Now the backlot express is pretty decent too, we just ate there 2 last trip so decided to try something new. I just do not think that the options there are that great meaning DHS as a whole.

Now the best for last...SUNSHINE SEASONS- Epcot, this is our all time favorite place. The DDP goes so far here and it is amazing food, I do not lie when I say that a few meals here were actually better than a few TS meals. The desserts are amazing! We love this place it is sooooooooooo good.

So that is our park ones, now DTD has Wolfgang Puck Express that is a great place to eat, we really like to go there and normally try 2 in a trip. Then the resorts have theirs that I do not really know alot about sorry, we go to BW Bakery and get some stuff sometimes, but mostly hit it during the day in parks or then DTD Wolfgang Pucks Express

Every counter service location in every park accepts Dining Plan credits as payment.

Every counter service location in every Disney-owned resort accepts Dining Plan credits as payment.

Look for Disney Dining Plan on www.wdwinfo.com (the DIS home site) for a complete list of participating restaurants. This will be the 2008 list, but it's likely the same locations will all ultimately participate in 2009.

Thanks for those ideas, Belleatheart!

Kaytieeldr, I think I have pregnancy brain when trying to figure this out... on both allears and wdwinfo, I can find a list of restaurants and their menus, but I'm having trouble distinguishing between which restaurants are table service, which are counter service, and which are just snack places. Is there somewhere I'm not seeing that says this? I can't tell from the menu what kind of restaurant it is (for some of them - obviously some are quite obvious).

We have only used the service on one trip and the bes food we found was at DTD Wolfgang's Express. We had dinner there and it was great. Have fun!

I'm curious how does it work at places like Sunshine Seasons. Do you just pick an entree, drink and dessert and the cashier figures it out? What if you get sides? Are they considered snacks?

Sides are not included in a CS credit unless they are part of a combo meal.

You may be able to use a snack credit for a side, depending on whether the restaurant will accept a snack credit for the side you want. If they don't, you'd need to pay cash for it.

We got some sides at Sunshine Seasons for snacks, soup counts! And they have some awesome soup. When we wanted something to hold us over for a late dinner, we would get two soups and split between the 4 of us, if you want to count it as a part of a meal which we did once, they just add it as a snack credit. The one thing that i was sad about was that sushi at seasons does not count as a CS. I knew it wasn't a snack, but I just wanted the sushi rolls for lunch, but since they are pre-packaged the guy said it didn't work.
