We try to do it everytime we are at WDW but then we camp at FW so it is easy.
They have preshows which has a sing along with Chip and Dale and a CM then cartoons and the movie. You can buy stuff to make Smores or bring your own they have fires going. It is a lot of fun. You should head over to the camping board they can give you more information and maybe a schedule. YOu can easily spend time at FW they have a nice petting farm, play ground beach area (no swimming) nice trails....

There is also pony rides or horseback trail rides (depeding on age of children). If you are going soon and the movie/campfire doesn't start until 8 you may be able to do the early hay/wagon ride.

The campfire is a lot of fun. If you have your own camper bring your own chairs to the fire. If not try to get there early because for seating they have benches with backs or regular bleachers without backs, which are fine, but can get uncomfortable after a while. There isn't any grass to sit down on, just a large area of small rocks.
