So I know everyone says not to book your airfare through disney because it is often more expensive. So when looking to book our honeymoon I found that while we could afford the hotel and tickets, the airfare was so high! 500 roundtrip for 1 person. Part of the problem is that I live in WV and there are just not a lot of airlines. Found a great deal in OH, but would have to pay to leave a car there and pay for extra hotel rooms. So I went and talked to a travel agent. She informed me that disney contracts with certain airlines. Well the day i booked my package she was able to get us airfare through disney for 330 per person, all taxs and fees included. It was a great deal with for us, and airfare has not gone down. Just thought some people would want to know this!
Sometimes purchasing airfare directly through Disney is more expensive, sometimes it is less; it all depends on time of year and city. I'm glad to hear this worked out for you!

i've always purchased my airfare and hotel through orbitz or expedia. 4 nights at disney value hotels plus 2 roundtrip airfare on US airways non-stop from DC to Orlando usually cost me around $300 per person.

yes it is more expensive through Disney. I normally go during off peak due to less crowds and also less wait time in line for rides. :thumbsup2

We live in WV, too. Have you checked out allegiant air? It flies into sanford, but the airfare is pretty cheap. We got it this april for 69 bucks each way. They fly out of Huntington. But, we are coming in November, and found it cheaper to go to columbus. We paid to stay all night at a hotel there that has a park and fly rate, so for 100 dollars we got a room and parking for the week, and a continental breakfast. So, just play around with the rates, and where to fly from. For me, I look at Columbus, Lexington, Dayton. But, Allegiant has made it more affordable to go to Florida, esp because I hate the drive!
