Here are some I just took on a walk over the past couple of hours before it got dark. I sucked it up and ordered the 18-200mm VR for my D60 and HAD to go try it out since the weather was pleasant.

This is around the river and historic section of our neighborhood, unfortunately very few of the river though because a carnival was taking place.

Here are some of my favorite local walking areas in my town...

Being a beach town, the beach is of course a favorite - to walk along the breaking waves barefoot, smell the salt, feel the breeze, and listen to the waves hiss over the sand:

It's amazing to watch rain squalls approach from offshore during the summer:

The beach is about 3 miles from my house. Also just a few miles away is a great Japanese garden, which is a wonderful, scenic, and peaceful place to walk and photograph:

Of course, our section of Florida also has the Everglades and many related swamp and marshlands. Many parks and reserves border the glades, and quite a few wildlife reserves and marshland restoration areas have wonderful levees, boardwalks, and trails for walkers and photographers alike. Being an avid wildlife and bird photographer, these trails are a definite favorite, and I spend many days walking through these areas armed with my camera and my longest lenses, taking in Florida's abundant wildlife:

These were all taken at two of my favorite wetlands preserves near my house - Green Cay Wetlands, and Wakodahatchee Wetlands. Between them, there are several miles of boardwalks and levee trails through the wetlands areas, with literally millions of birds and animals, as close as arms-length from you. All are completely wild, just drawn to the abundant nutrients and food in these wetlands areas...and because lots of people frequent the trails and walks, the birds and animals have become accustomed to your presence and ignore you. It's a nature photographer's dream!
