Happy Happy Happy Happy Halloween ~ Day 4

Cloudy grey skies greeted us today so after breakfast Bryan, Danielle and Francesca decided to go swimming and Samantha and I thought we'd use EMH to take photos and video while the park was quiet.

We really enjoyed having Main Street to ourselves as most people entering were going straight to Fantasyland or Adventureland. The others found us and were finding it so cold after their swim :cold:

that we went to Salon Mickey for a hot drink and a snack. :goodvibes

We met Chip in Frontierland

Dale was there too and whilst we were taking photos, Stitch and a pink witch drove past in a Halloween buggy!

These pink witches on stilts were out in force today

and they were actually quite scary, especially if they were chasing you! :eek:

We watched the Disney Villains' Halloween Showtime again and rode the train all the way round the park.

We went to King Ludwig's for a meal around 2.30pm and were the only ones in there for a while.

Samantha, Danielle and Francesca all had Ludwig's Burger and fries which they thoroughly enjoyed

Bryan chose King Ludwig's Wiener Schnitzel which he said was very nice

and I had Black Forest "Tartiflette" which was absolutely delicious.

For dessert the others all had Jester's Sundae

whilst I had Crème Brulée de L'Orangeraie. Mmmmm, it was yummy :goodvibes

The food was absolutely delicious but the service was awful. We had ordered a couple of sides of garlic bread to share but had to keep reminding our server of this and they eventually turned up much too late. Also, our drinks order got messed up and although I appreciate this sort of thing does happen, it wouldn't have hurt the server to apologise. Also, there was insufficient cutlery on the table but we had to point it out, it wasn't noticed.

This is the second time we've been here, last time the service was good and today the food more than made up for the poor service so I'd still recommend it. :thumbsup2

We returned to Disneyland and watched the parade (yet again) from up near Bella Notte

and did some more shopping before catching Candleabration again. It was darker tonight so the lighting of the candles was much more effective.

Although we'd fitted in a couple of rides on Big Thunder Mountain in the day there was just time to ride it again ...... and again ...... and again in the dark! :yay: And as it was our last night of course we had to visit Phantom Manor again! As usual, I got spooked by a doorman :eek: it must be my face or something that seems to attract them :lmao: :lmao:

We eventually left the park before they threw us out, I love the park at night so I'm always reluctant to leave, especially on the last night. :sad2:

Lovely lovely photos. :goodvibes Great report, thanks. We have never tried King Ludwigs but always hum-and-hah about it. I hope that was just a one-off with the poor service.

When we went to Ludwig's back in 2006 our server was brilliant so I think we were just unlucky this time.
