I need some help! I found a font on dafont.com and I have it saved to my desktop but I don't know what to do with it now. I would like it in my PhotoImpact Program but I don't know how to put it there. Can anyone give me step by step instructions on how to go about doing that. I would really appreciate it!!! :flower3:

You need to put it into your Font folder.

Go to My computer, then Control Panel, then Appearances and Themes. Open Fonts folder - menu on left hand side.

Then make it smaller and then drag the icon for the font from your desk top into the folder.

Then when you open your PhotoImpact programme it will magically appear!!

Hope this helps.:goodvibes

I just did the above, however I saved the font to Downloads. Then, I tried dragging it to the Fonts under Control Panel. It is NOT there. Can someone please tell me what I am doing wrong?

After reading a little more- I need to unzip the font. Can someone help me with this?

Thanks!

Open the zipped file in Windows Explorer. You should see all the TTF files along with any Readmes and other info/stuff sent along with it. On the left is an extract all files. If you click on that it will bring up a wizard that will unzip the files. Take note of which directory the files are placed, you may want to create an "unzipped" folder if you plan to download more fonts. Go to that file and copy any of the TTF files to your fonts folder in the Windows directory.

I have found that in order to register the font I need to open it from the font folder of my control panel.

The Font Thing is awesome! It will open multiple fonts for you at one time & you can use them from folders instead of installing them. There is a free download at download.com. Google it...it's free!
